All in all its a good phone its creaky but my p910i is so was my s700i all mass produced plastic gadgets are to be honest unless you pay £700 for a chromed nokia with less features but astounding build quality. A firmware upgrade or three will sort these bugs out and as a free handset its great but i wouldnt pay £299 for it.

@ Rieley

I wouldn't say it's worrying. I'd say it's pretty normal! You have to remember that software will always have bugs, and we are still on the first release. If this was the 5th release, then it would be worrying.

No firmware update service for it yet online as for se themselves you would have to call them, bare in mind that the orange phone will have different firmware, same as the T mobile and o2 versions this is operator dependant so wait and see what happens, and as said earlier its just come out, all phones have bugs in the first incarnation as does most software...hmmm who said never buy version one of anything?

Got mine on Wed and virtualy no bugs in it... one strange one i did notice...

1- When in the Messages part of the phone, the third menu item down is "My Friends", with a three circle icon- but somtimes when I go into the messages menu the "My Friends" has been replaced with a web link to sonyericsson download pages... The icon has also been changed...

Guess Auto relock and a tacky auto focus vS photo click- aren't really bugs. This message was posted from a S700

about the shortcut reset everytime reboot the phone. i believe it works only on joystick shortcut rather than button.

for example like P series phone. we need to installed third party UIQ software to turn those wap, camera button into some shortcut key.

for normal phone like K750. those shortcut key are meant for a particular function only. no matter how do u change it. after u reboot the phone, system will erset those button shortcut back to default.

so far i did not see any major problem with it. just curious to know anyone who have a "total sim free" K750i which is not no logo on any network, not purchased from any network provided.

i guess those o2, vodafone customise menu might have changed some of the setting inside the original R1A firmware and there's where all those problems came out.

i really hope to listen to someone who have a total sim free K750i for bugs.

cheers

I want to list all kind of bugs you guys have on your k750i so we can send them to SE for the next firmware update.

I can start the list with:

1. I cant create larger MMS than 100kb (it works with my previous k700i).

@dark - I thought this was the standard size (100 KB) when sending MMS - video in all networks. Or were you talking about IMAGES-MMS

Taz,

Do you use a Mac by any chance?

yeap ur right i do

Taz,

Re your ".filename" issue, it's the way thatt OSX handles files. It creates an 'invisible' file with a . in front of it. You can't normally see these files on the Mac but you will do if you have use a PC etc to look at a drive.

I see this sort of thing when I copy files from my Mac to a USB flash drive and then put the drive into my PC. I've had no issues with deleting these extra files as only the Mac uses them and it may even recreate when they are missing.

I can't remember why/how they are created and used though.

Cheers,

Sahajesh
