Hey Kagi - what happened in the end???
Vodafone continue to prove their incompetency - they still haven't sent me my PAC code a week later. The customer service person I spoke to this time promised some kind of urgent sending of the code, text message promised!! Who knows whether the muppets will deliver this time.
Only way to be sure is to go to the high street!!

I have a confirmation by EMAIL from Vodafone that they don't do sim-free K750i.
Parcelline came and picked up the model already. However, my upgrade hasn't been cancelled as promised. The CS promised to send me a SMS to confirm they cancel my upgrade.
I don't have time to chase up these two days. I am definitely not impressed.
I even called up to ask whether there is an alternative on solving the mobile phone issue against my requirement.
Obviously they are just a operator, rather than Customer Service whom should be tailor-made their service to individual customer's needs.

Interesting.
Well i just got an email from voda saying the opposite!!
I asked if i would be able to have an unbranded phone with an online contract.... the reply was ...
"The Sony Ericsson K750i is also available in the non Live version, you would need to specify at purchase point whether you wanted the Vodafone Live! version or not."
... so she's saying i could have it unbranded if i wanted??

Does anyone know what's underneath the "Vodafone" logo? If we were to peel it off do you think it would show "quickshare" like this:
Who has the balls to peel his off?

Well, while I have been chasing them up this week, the party line has been "we don't have the black K750i in stock".
What a shambles.
Mind you, the ex-Vodafone employees who work for me are somewhat unsuprised!!
Anyway - hopefully it will be a new phone tomorrow and most likely a new network!!!

It seems like it is standard practice for Voda Sales Staff to lie to their customers because I had the exact same thing happen. I phoned up for my PAC at which point they asked me why I was leaving Voda, I explained that I wanted a K750i but would only be happy with an unbranded generic version and they told me that they had generic ones in stock and it would not be a problem for me to upgrade to one so I went ahead with the upgrade.
Imagine my disappointment when an Aluminium Voda Live K750i turned up!!! I phoned them the same day and told them to take it back. I now how my lovely black UNBRANDED K750i on O2 from CPW
On the question of what is under the Voda logo, I would guess there is nothing because the Quickshare logo on my K750i is only a sticker. I think the Voda sticker would be instead of the Quickshare sticker, not as well as.

i'm another who was lied to by Vodafoney in order to complete an upgrade. was told that they definetly had the unbranded K750i in stock and of course i received a silver Live! a couple of days later.
rang that day to say they had sent me the wrong one, was then told that the black 750i would be in stock later that day and to ring back then to arrange delivery and pickup of silver and black phones.
so rang back and was told the black vers would not be available until the beginning of July.
basically a complete lie in order to complete an upgrade (on which they billed me £20 more than they quoted, which i eventually got refunded).
very disappointed with Vodafone on this.

tuesnightspecial, after 20 days of suffering from Vodafone. Today (after a week Vodafone picked up the mobile from me), I managed to call them and reverted to my old plan. However, they said they cannot do that, since my old plan Leisure 500 is not longer available.
that's hilarious. They should have said that when they upgraded me. Even on the letter, they didn't mention about that. Vodafone is fooling the customers.
For those whom had the same case as me, for my assumption, i think all VODAFONE Sales, they try to BOOST their sales figure, so they lied to customer in order to increase their commission. Otherwise, what's the advantages for them to lie to us -
There is unbranded version
there is a black SE K750i.
I was told that they won't have any black until august or even later.
I ordered PAC Code already. Hope they will arrive asap. I have been waiting far too long now for a new mobile after all those FIGHTING with VODAFONE DIRECT.
