> P900 Truly a nerds phone

It's pretty funny to call someone a nerd who uses the main input method of his touch-screen PDA. Why publicity would matter in this respect? I would rather say that someone who is too shy to "dare" using it in public might need therapy for slight self-identity crisis.

There's nothing nerdy about the P series. If anything, it has an interesting form factor.

I think you would be a nerd if you pulled out a laptop at a party, but how are you a neard when you are just using a phone.
I hardley ever use a stylus anyway, unless I am texting, as the jogdial does almost everything.
You would have to be a nerd though by using the term nerd... what a bo||ocks word.
EDIT Sh!t, Im a poet and I didn't even know it

Definitely a phone for smart people. Paris Hilton should know. She had to trade in her P900 for a Sidekick, because she is not smart enough with her GED to use the almighty P900.

I get annoyed that a phone such as the p900 will sell for less then a samsung d500, even though the p900 is far better and has so many more features.
This is probably because the Samsung was in nearly brand new condition and the P900 was more thoroughly used.

i wouldn't use the term "nerd".
a nerd is a geek who dresses badly, doesn't go to pubs or parties and cannot communicate with other human beings except via email or instant messaging.
i guess the term to describe someone using a p900 is a gadget-freak.
i am a gadget freak.
i love my p900, and after 18 months of proud ownership, i have still to be impressed another smartphone. there is no better.
when i see someone using a p900, i guess this person is similarly oriented as me. he wants his data with him, but not in a 2-device-configuration (pda+phone) but in a clever all-inclusive-package.
i feel sorry for people using a windows mobile phone edition, because THEY have to use the stylus all the time.
you can use your fingernail for calling, but it's mostly stylus-based input.
btw .. the t68i was my first SE phone, and i loved it dearly. it introduced me to email on the go, wap, mms and communicam imaging to record my daily life.
although i have to say that the nokia 9300 communicator is pretty interesting as well. if it had a touch screen, i'd really be thinking of moving on, but fortunately, they decided to use a non-touch-screen which buys me enough time to wait for the p1000 or whatever it'll be called.

Maybe Paris Hilton traded it in because, well, her P900 wasn't the right phone for her? It's not about bigger and better anymore, it's about what is more suitable. Need a phone to take to leeds fest? I'm taking a Nokia 3210 and leaving my 910i and Blaqckberry at home... It's a case of the right tool for the right job. Also, the 3210 battery won't crap out on me halfway through!!

In all but one aspect my Pee is perfect for me: Back in the days when... I used to take my Newton 2100 to meetings for taking notes.
Not only was its nerd-factor about 10^3 times higher than the Pee's, but I could actually scribble notes and keep up with the speaker.
The Pee is
a) too small and
II- equipped with, for the above purpose, a lousy HWR engine (it's almost a stretch to call it that). Does anyone want to join in and nag Phatware to port their Calligrapher software
http://www.phatware.com/calligrapher/index.html
to Symbian/UIQ? They gave me the virtual finger, but if there's lots of us they might reconsider.
(Obviously, the smallness of the Pee is also one of its strong points: I was never able to fit me Newt in a pocket and its phone solution (Nokia PCcard phone with headset) was lousy, but Hey! Sony Ericsson, there's still room on the front of the Pee, so the screen could be bigger, albeit not a lot. Don't waste that space on gaddammit keyboards!)
