This is a stupid thread.

The K750 has:

Better screen, nicer menus, brighter screen, better camera, better flash, better video recording, shutter to protect camera, nicer 'camera' noise, comes bundled with better extras, has MSduo support, nicer design, sexier design, and great phone to have.

happy???

sexier design ? u either need to revise ur vocabulary or get out of your computer lab and go meet a real gurl and see what sexy means. (he he, just trying to be funny here:P , dont get me wrong )

K700 got VGA camera ... that is 0.3MP... compared to K750s camera that is 2MP...
VGA usually defines _640x480_ with a certain color depth 8/15/24 bit

Fine, but wouldn't it have made sense to go to the k750 page and look at the specs directly considering that you are only getting an overview of the phones? This is why they have detailed specs pages. Anyway, whatever.

k750 has a better camera not because it has just more megapixels - that doesnt say its better, but because it has better image quality, in fact the best image quality in present market - isnt this enought to justify an upgrade??? Its the only phone with autofocus and macro mode in the market also

And people are forgeting 4 other improvements:

radio has RDS

java can acess bluetooth (multiplayer games, gps, bluejacking, blue chat, etc)

java can acess PIM functions (file system, calendar, messages, etc - great apps in perspective)

customizable sms tone

This thread, OMG lol

@Arez, so true

I mean, it's got a real Digital camera. Hell, it even supports exif which is something the K700 and earlier cams don't have. Since the early se cams also don't use sequential file numbering, without exif info it's hard to keep your photos in time sequene if you don't put the date in the name (my file system puts the date for the file as the date I drag it off the camera - not always the same day the pic was taken)

And for users who aren't cam fans, your points about the java access to file system/pim etc is a big plus. It makes the phone just as useful as a smart phone for non-power users (the average joe/joanne)

This is a big step and may even see non-smart phone java platform handsets maintain strong marketshare indefinitely (where as most peeps tend to predict smartphones taking over completely as a fete de compli)

Wouldn't it be better if you did the comparison with both phones in your hands as opposed to just reading the differences between the two phones. You don't have to buy the phone, I'm sure that there's a shop that you can test the K750 or I'm sure that you know somebody that already owns one.

Reading [and comparing] phone specs as opposed to holding it in your hands are completely different. Plus the fact that you've never used a K750 makes you a little biased towards the K700.

All this thread did is get all the K750 owners all riled up.

I've read enough of the k750 threads to have a very good idea of peeps experience's with that handset - I did the same thing prior to purchasing my K700i - and the forum's were invaluable at weeding out the handset's that weren't going to be suitable. I have played with those handset's since (the first mpx windows mobile thing, couple of nokias, xda's etc) and still don't regret my purchase of then K700i.

Whatever interface issues that may exist with the K750 that I haven't read about yet won't be sufficient to sway me from the other very real specifications of the phone

I just had to stop back and see if this thread had finally died a rightfully deserved death, considering it should not have been started in the first place, and was started without the poster doing any real research. Anyway, the next time I come past here I hope there is a big red line through the "Reply" link.
