Its a known bug, where the softare for the camera does not install correctly.
Try updating the phone again, and again, and again until fixed. If it doesnt do it after a few attempts, you'll probably need to send the phone to a service centre for repair.

Sell that junk and save your self lots of frustration. Wait for the non existent P1000 or N90 if you want a working camera phone.Greetings from South Africa. Mario

I took another picture yesterday. In the same spot, same time of day, and pretty much same conditions. The only difference is, yesterday morning there was a little haze, or morning mist you get in hot summer mornings - you can see it down the road.
Picture taken 29/5/05, R1A firmware, 553kb:
(Original)
Latest picture, taken 10/07/05, R1J firmware, 383kb:
@ numb - as you can see, the colours of the road, the house roof and distant window are pretty much the same as the first picture, because they were taken at almost exactly the same time of day. The only difference is the grass is greener due to it being summer, not late spring when i took the original.
Still, its not a perfect comparison, but this picture shows that theres little difference in pictures other than filesize IMO when using later firmware revisions.
The latest picture is slightly blurred too, but that was me shaking the camera at the time (i remember thinking "this is gonna come out blurry")

yeah, looks pretty much the same, no noticeable difference
Good job on finding the same time/angle and everything and getting a shot that close to the original

Apparently i bought my k750i with the R1J2002 eu1 firmware on it so i never experienced the better quality of previous software so i only want to know if it's better in R1L2002?
Also is the shutter speed faster caus it really is to long now :/

no, R1L002 only resolved some GPRS issues in R1J002, nothing else.

The only difference i can see is theres slightly more noise in the latest picture in the darker areas - but i got that on the old firmware, its just not present in the first picture.

Has anyone had any updated info from SE regarding this issue.
Please don't post 'bloke down the pub told me... etc'.
I loved the videos I took using the original firmware. All my friends and family were impressed. Now I have the latest firmware and the videos are really low quality - pixelated and unclear - even in High quality...
I don't want to show them to anyone anymore. I just hide in my room and remember back to the good old days when video was clear and blocky pixelated phone video was something my Nokia/Samsung owning friends talked about.
I don't know about others but I wanted this phone because of the quality of the video and the quality of the pictures, nothing else, well apart from calling people, but that's just a secondary function...
Come on SE surely if you can break it you can fix it?
I'm beginning to think that SE is run by a bunch of clueless muppets.
