A few years back, I dropped my philips savvy down the toilet.
After drying it out, the phone worked, but the lcd had turned black. Note I said black, not brown
I had great fun, handing it to folks saying... hey look at this funky screen. And then seeing the look on their faces when I told them it had fallen down the loo

I've read a couple of people saying the same thing, don't try to turn it on until it's completely dry... What's the difference? I mean, it surely must have been ON when it fell in the water, so whatever reaction that the water was going to provoque would be done already anyways by the time the phone fell, no?
