Had to do the update the 2nd time. Luckily, everything works now. The first time I installed the update, pressing '1' would give me 'space', but now it gives me "." Also, everything is faster now. Believe it or not, it really is! Although I didn't notice it the first time I updated my phone with the R5A firmware. I don't know why the first time I updated my phone it didn't work. The only thing that I changed was removed my duo card before the download and chose the UK English as the Language.

Greetings!
I would like to know from those who successfully upgraded their 910 what is the web browser supposed to do after you've checked all the boxes indicating your computer is powerful enough, your phone is charged, you have a dss-25 cradle, etc... . Everytime I try I simply get absolutely nothing. The check boxes disappear and nothing else happens. I'm wondering if this is an issue with my connection or the SE server. I've turned off the firewall and AV protection, lowered my IE security settings and still nothing.
I called SE support and the person on the other end of the line asked me why I wanted to ugrade the phone!!! UMmmm... because I would like to use the service I'm entitled to perhaps. (Also 'm at R3A04 and would like to go to R5A02). In nay case what kind of question is that?!? She then told me I had to uniinstall Java Virtual Machine. What the...?
I'm hoping someone here can make some suggestions that may help me resolve this.
Thanks.
BTW, first post!

@Mikes> Don't bother to interpret such Questions.
Use IE6 with Java Console ON or
Firefox or Mozilla.
If with IE, please make sure, that after every time you get stuck.. >
> Close all sessions of IE
> Start IE again and in Settings- General Tab- delete ALL Cookies, Cache and Offline Pages, Temp Internet Files and History.
> Close IE and Start again.
> Pray to Almighty and try SEUS again.
I once tried SEUS in a mall's cyberdrome. But had neither the phone nor the cable etc.
Got stuck like you.

also, beyond just making sure Java is turned on, check that you have the latest version. The update service doesn't seem to like older versions of Java.
About the update, I feel like I am getting less battery life. I may just be paranoid, or I may not have put all my settings back the way they were, but I feel like everytime I look at my phone the battery bar is down in the bottom third. It is probably just me.

Updated the fw from r4a10 to r5a2 about two weeks agono changes to the phone whatsoever apart that the lights sometime do not turn on unless you open the flip.
SE get off your b.. and release a proper fw for your flagship phone and keep your costumers or a lot of us will have to turn to the old Nokia (which sucks but still better then a phone that dont do the things that you want the phone to do)
Shame cos i loved my two other pseries

?! I've had the P800, P900 & just got P910, it is by far the best phone I have ever used!
What problems do you have with it?

just updated my firmware and my question is about backup and restore. when you backup your phone, does it also backup your contacts? or just your phone's system and installed programs?
