the N90's processing power is 360 MHz ...

the screen is the best ... but it's soooo big ... it is long as a p900 & as thck as a S700 + the optical instruments are very fragile ... so think twice befor buying it .. + it weights 173 gramms .... ( it's a huge brick !!! )

Not exactly the phone of my dreams, the nokia n series. I would have preferred something from SE for their sleek, stylish design...not to mention their user-friendlyness...

its amazing how die hard se fans, like deyan, will take 1 review of 1 model and place damnation on an entire lineup.

True Nokia should improve its technology with battery consumption; but having a choice or possibility of using the Qd's battery will significantly improve usage times.

MobileReview stated software issues was due 2 the not standard resolution used in the n90 but couldnt confirm if it was a universal issue nor that Nokia confirmed this. Its possible shipping production units may have an auto screen resolution adjust 4 apps. Possible. As it isnt shipping yet!

Some1 mentioned that the n90 interfered with their wifi network. Maybe the issue isnt the phone, using bluetooth v2.0, but maybe the network that needs upgrading.

My reason for choosing a Nokia S60 phone is for the Edge offering and 850mhz band and the choice of using different apps. I can choose Email that supports html emails. Choice of 3 faster web apps with better download support 2 memory card. Choice of a faster file browser. Choice of better mp3 player. All of this better choices than what comes standard. Se Pseries offers the same choices but doesnt give me edge data speeds. We'll see with next version offers as no1 knows, just speculation and rumors.

All Symbian phones allow the user 2 completely backup phones apps and information 2 memory card. If firmware is buggy then you can format & restore from backup and your sorted! Can you do this with a Moto Razr or k750i?

The N91 will offer wifi at both b/g standards with VoIP. Scype any1!

Choices, beyond what you 1st see initially. Just like choosing ur network. Do you choose just based on coverage, or 1price plan? No matter the manufacturer, i want quality, features, styling, and choice.

Yes that could surely be it but I don't understand why they use the 760mAh BL-5B in N90 they could atleast use the 900mAh BL-5C but of course there is the space issue and all Nokia clamshells seem to have the BL-5B battery but as the size of the N90 is so big already it would just make a small difference.

A guess is that Nokia may have made improvement to Series60 OS which is more power efficient. From personal experience, based on moderate usage:-

6600 - 900mAH - 104Mhz - 2.5days
6670 - 900mAH - 123Mhz - 4 days
6630 - 900mAH - 220Mhz - 2.5 days (3G not active)
6681 - 900mAH - 220Mhz - 3.5 days

With each Series60 product cycle, quite a big improvement has been made in battery life. Maybe 760mAH can provide the same battery life as the current Series 60 (6680/1).

Well, where the K750i is concerned you can copy everything (pictures, sounds, themes, apps..) to the memory stick if you want, all except SMS and appointments etc.

Use a software like FMA, you'll be able to take backups of almost everything in SE K750i and most of the other SE phones!

But you need to be at a computer with the software installed to do that.

Well you surely has not been reading on about the N90.

-It does not have 5 GB of storage it uses DV RS-MMC cards limited up to 512 MB today.
-You cannot compare a Symbian and a Non-symbian software wise with symbian being much more complex.
-SE K700 dont have a 400 Mhz processor and the N90 will have a 220 Mhz processor just as 6630 and 6680. Nokia being a bigger company and having greater resources then SE why shouldn't they afford it if they wanted to? And surely N90 could use some extra processing power so beats me why they didn't upgrade to a faster one.
-Of course they release new FW but the downside is you can't update to new FW yourself as with SE phones.
-The N90 display is probably one of the best today and surely it outperforms the K750 by miles it has 352 x 416 resolution.

Youre right about the batterylife though its poor on the N90 compared to K750 but it is a 3G phone and I guess it needs a lot of juice to keep that big display running . Stand-by Up to 240 h, Talk time Up to 4 h 30 min. Please check your facts before posting.

First thing, I do really have made a mistake considering some NOKIA (may be N91) with N90. I'm really sorry for that!

But who says that SE K700i doesn't have a 400MHz processor? I'm a J2ME developer and while I was reading a SE white paper I came across that it has a 400MHz processor- If doesn't have such a processing power I dought how it is able to render those 3D graphics at real time speed! For an example like the graphics in the Super Real Tennis! (I'm really trying to find that white paper again so I'll be able to confirm that information)

By the way I never knew that N90 was a 3G phone! But ppl still compare it with a NON 3G SE K750i, what does it proove? SE NON 3G phones can compete with even 3G NOKIA phones, isn't it?

NOKIA may be a bigger company, I don't know anything about that! What I know is it's an OLD COMPANY. They have been in the business from the beginning! But still they have some serious problems with their products! With the radiation levels to be precise. I am really in a tight position where I cannot give out any details about this. I wish some one would do that for me!

Enjoy .../
