> END OF THE WORLD ??

Vlam is right. I mean, how can the world End? Dinosaurs died out, it was the end of their world. If humans die out then other life will carry on. The planet will still be here. Why do we presume there can be no life on Earth without Humans? If there is a great catastrophy, either Natural or Man made then so be it. Life will go on in some form or another. I just hope it doesn't end before the S800i is released :-D

We have our destiny and future in our own hands, and only we can change it and avoid any nasty ends. A good way of starting would be to get rid of Bush, he's dangerous!

Until you write a book predicting the world will end in a date we all know is horribly false, (like 2 years from now, on a thursday) it's not really a real serious prediction ;D

Fear is the most primitive of emotions and one of the most powerful. We fear what we do not understand what we are not able to control. The world is just as likely to end now as it was ten thousand years ago. There are forces outside of our control, which can wipe us out, there is nothing we can do about that. If we live in fear of such things then we are not truely living. Instead of worrying about that, which is beyond our ability to control we would be better off trying to live our lives as best we can.

@O2. First of all, the Tsunami was not caused by climate change, it was simple plate tectonics. It wasn't the first and it wont be the last. Also how can you possibly know there are more Gays etc today. Do you have hold of a census for the last 50 millennia! Today they are just more visible. Like Scot says, there has always been natural disasters, it is just that there hasn't always been Satellite TV to report on them so thoroughly.

Has anyone else got any 'end of the world' or 'the state we're in' type song references? Maybe they're best in another thread - I'm pulling this one off course a bit! Thought we could do with some light relief what with the end of the world being nigh (yet again!)
