yes, its the same and it extends to full length as you pull it out
Well, that rules out that alternative to the P990 ...

well, each to their own of course but that has to be the first time I have seen a device ruled out just because of the stylus!

Agreed...
I wasn't over fond of the stylus on my Palm Pilot or the P900 for that matter (I found both of them a little too thin) this never stopped me buying or using the devices though.
I was pleasantly surprised by the one shipped with the TyTn though, didn't expect it too be telescopic and as such its slightly thicker and therfore more comfy to hold - each to their own I guess
Talking of stylus's (or should that be stylii??) I can recommend the Proporta replacement stylus with built in pen - very handy any fits perfectly (even has a black tip for all you M3100 owners out there

).

@masseur, quick question. Is the P990 able to sync Contact and Calender categories with Outlook? Thanks

I admit, it seems a bit strange, but I found the 9100's stylus a pain to work with and have seen quite a few broken ones.
Plus, why position it in the bottom of the device?
My foremost problem with the 9100 and therefor with the Tytn is the lack of a real phone keyboard. One-handed dialing and SMS-ing just isn't so easy on a virtual keyboard.

now I'm dissapointed. My second TyTN has a really bad keyboard where the space and delete keys hardly work and several other keys don't work all the time.
I cannot understand how they can be so faulty and how Expansys can keep selling them without testing them first.
Whats more it costs me to send it back!, a little over £7 each time.
so... I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place and despite 2 or 3 restarts a day the P990 seems to be currently more usable than the TyTN... I'm now wondering if I will get another or maybe wait for the i-mate JasJam version in the hope they have better quality control as has been the case in the past

@masseur
I thought i had a perfect second device. I have just discovered that the 'M' key on the keypad is not responding as well as other keys.
Not as big an issue as the one you are reporting but nevertheless a problem..
It is difficult for me to retutn this as my argument will not be as convincing, so I will hang on to it. I am getting more and more hooked on using the P990 anyway and hope it will be even better with the next FW update..
Sorry your second one turned out to be so bad..

yeah, big dissapointment
I've typed "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" 20 times in a row at varying speed including one character at a time watching every letter I press and not once did it come out right!
I'll get a refund from Expansys and go down Tottenham Road tomorrow and keep trying units until I get one that is perfect, assuming such a beast exists at this time!
