The link I posted a few posts up contains all the files necessary for M3 to run, at least for me. Try downloading it and see if it works for you.

I have a problem with converting to xvid (smartmovie converter and total video converter). the converted file does not play properly. sound is ok but video plays in fast forward - no need to say that the whole thing is out of sync. If I open the file in windows media player on my computer there is no video at all, just sound. I have all the codecs installed: xvid + all codecs I found on lonelycatgames site.

what can i do?

it seems to me M3 is choosy with avi movie files, sometimes it works and most of the time it doesnt work for me, am using M3 ver 0.898 have downloaded and installed all the necessary codec (nero and ffdshow as prompted by M3), i have upgraded my dotnet framework to the latest version 3.0 so far i was able to convert 4 avi movie files and that's it. even after installing the ffdshow codec M3 would still prompt me to install the codec even after i have installed it. any suggestion or help would be much appreciated.

i've been tinkering with M3 for quite some time now because i really love its video quality for my P990i but have been having problems on and off. here's what i found out after reading the entire forum and finally got my M3 to work:

Nero codec should be installed
dotnet framework should be upgraded to atleast version 2
Install ffdshow codec if prompted
Install AviSynth 2.5 (install Videora Ipod Converter because it comes with AviSynth 2.5, you can uninstall Videora Ipod Converter after it has installed AviSynth 2.5) Found out about AviSynth accidentally after trying to convert avi to mp4 using Videora.
DO NOT CLICK or USE DRAC VOLUME BOOST when converting AVI files (notice given by @mysh)

that should be it.

am still evaluating this solution and seems to work fine, will share more info if something new crops up.

i tried uninstalling AviSynth 2.5 and then tried to convert an avi file and nothing happens, so i reinstalled AviSynth 2.5 and M3 works just fine, so far i was able to convert 5 avi file movies without a problem

I think a codec is missing on the P990. Converted movies that used to work on my old P990 don't work on the replaced one. M3 converts fine and I can watch the converted movies with QuickTime on my PC.
