never had any virus, to be honest, i dont really know if there are nay... according the crash, my one ( have e60 ) sometimes freeze, but thats all. at the start ( especially at new fones, with the first fw ) there are or could be some bugs, but later upgrades fix the problem. imo every e series user just can echo my statement: e series are very satble and well made fones, according the os

@raj2005
There was a virus on an earlier version of Symbian S60 but even this involved the users actively accepting and opening it. Currently to my knowledge there are no viruses on S60 3rd Edition due to the increased security that Symbian have implemented into the OS.
As to Symbian smart phones being more prone to crashing this IMO has more to do with the users understanding of the limitations of the device he is using and just how many apps the users has installed and is trying to use at the same time. If you understand the limitations of the device you are using and use a Task Manger to maintain your devices performance you really should face very little problems IMO.
I have owned and used a Nokia N73, N93, N95 and my current device of choice a E61 and never suffer freezes or crashes.

@Boba and all,
Installing and running any anti virus app on any Symbian smart phone is nothing more than a complete waste of money and your devices valuable resources. this is not just MO but one held by many others all over the many Symbian Forums. Unless some one just accepts and opens everything that is sent to their device or is using only cracked apps and warez from untrustworthy sites there really is no risk, and even them all the virus would be able to do is effect the users personal data it could not infect the OS due to the improved security that even developers can't access whilst creating apps.

Hi all,
I just had a problem with a rogue SMS message explained elsewhere on the Forum. So i have just reformatted my E61 and reloaded all my apps and there is now a new Version of Fring which is now @ 3.23 so far it seems to be much quicker not sure if it is available for all E series devices but is for he E61.
