how about the joystick? anybody has a problem?
im thinking to buy a k810 but im afraid to have the same problem that i had with mi k750... so i'm between a k810 or a w810

so... anybody a problem with it?

the joystick on my new k810i seems much better than my old k750's joystick. it doesnt have as much space around the joystick space like the k750i

Agreed. The K800 and K810's joystick is more protected from dust than the one on the K750.

I purchased an unlocked K810i locally, and it came with the Generic HK Language pack. Also, since it was unlocked, it had no settings on it.

I tried using the SE Support website for it to send me MMS/WAP settings, but the site never sent the text messages. I tried numerous times over 5 days since I wanted to picture message some friends in the States (I'm in Canada).

Well, I got fed-up with the HK language pack, as some menus were still in Chinese, so I tried flashing on my own (the free method), until I didn't find the cust-pack, and my phone was useless. I re-flashed it using WotanServer, and suddenly all the WAP/MMS settings for my wireless provider were installed.

So now, I can happily picture message, and RSS feeds work fine.

I've read that if you change your network settings under RSS FEEDS to ANY NETWORK, it may fix your problem. If not, then I'm guessing your Data Connectivity/Internet Settings are not setup properly for the RSS feeds to get updated.

btw, I have a R6BC002 phone, now with a CDA of GENERIC_AMERICA_1.

I love this phone!

Hi...I just bought a k810i a month ago.I'm pretty happy with the phone except the photos are coming out over exposed. The pictures i take all are to white.I have use the photoedit function in the phone the make them descent. Here are couple of pictures to explain the situation better. My phone has the latest firmware.I'm starting to think theres a problem with my phone.Should i send it back to SE? Or is this normal?I look at other photos taken with k810i and they are nothing like mine.

So have you used the Photofix on the bottom pictures? They look ok to me.

right light
whitness balance (joystick & profile)

I used photodj to edit the photos. The Auto Level function. Why cant I take a normal picture without having to use the photo edit thing? Is it normal for this phone to take pictures like this?

@plankgatan I saw the pictures you have taken with your k810i and they are nothing like mine. They are way better.Your photos dont seem to have the over exposer problem.Do you use any kind of editing software? Can you give me some tips how to take good pictures?

You can change the white balance by hitting the joystick left or right when in camera mode.

That may help.

But yes, I've noticed that my pictures are also over-exposed when using the auto function. Nothing that a little Photoshop (or PhotoDJ) can fix, so I'm not too worried.

like plankgatan said.

do not just use auto mode, use portrait, twilight portrait, landscape, twilight landscape etc etc whenever possible dont just rely on auto mode.

take note of the light on your subject, over exposure usually happens when too much light is in front of your camera... try lowering white balance if not make sure that the light is behind you or your camera...

this is one of the best if not the best camphone in the market... play with it, it has tons of features for image capture... GET TO KNOW YOUR CAMERA! what it can do and cannot do. this way you will know how to use the full capacity of the gadget.

ciao!

Does anyone else get really annoyed with the way the spaces in between the keys get fingerprints all over them, and how difficult it is to get them off?
