....everyone else .. will just have to wait longer to see the supposed "proper" P990 remake. The joke is really on them, because whatever the next set of specs look like, no flip-designed phone is going to be as usable as the P1.
I decided not to buy P1 and wait for the next P series, but it was not because I need a flip (I removed one in my P990) but because of better specs that I expect. At this moment I cant justify to spend a lot of money by seling P990 and buying P1 even P1 will be fantastic in multitasking and functionality in general.
One thing I do admit, the form factor is amazing. I started to prefer small and slim beasts although 2.8" screen would be much, much more appreciated:-)

It also says "Priset är preliminärt och skall inte jämföras med det slutliga priset, lägg en förhandsorder och du kan bestämma om du vill köpa den när priset är fastställt och artikeln finns leveransklar."
This means price is due to change at launch and you should only consider this price as a guideline.

Whilst I agree with almost all of what you say here, I must disagree with you regarding the absolute superiority of use the P1 seems to offer over P Series Flip devices.
I am fortunate to own both the W950 and the P990 and (for me) only the P990i (with flip attached) offers truly one handed operation, agreed you can use the w950 one handed but for me it requires some nifty hand play so for me the matter of P1 usability is no quite so cut and dried as it may be for you.
I'm not sure if maybe the W950 is missing something from the M600's interface, but certainly with the M600 it's quite easy to perform any regular task one handed - you have the jog wheel to navigate the menu, the three soft buttons at the bottom of the screen for options and submenus (again navigated with the wheel), the back button to get you out of anything or lock/unlock the screen... I also have the hardware button on the right hand side set to bring up the task manager, which is useful. There's extremely little I can't do, comfortably, without getting the stylus out.
The P990, by contrast, seems fudged - the full screen mode has been deliberately crippled for one-handed use by the placement of the soft buttons (at the top of the screen rather than the bottom) so you really have to use the flip - but all that gives you is some limited cut-down functionality, not the full range of apps you may have installed. In UIQ2 it made sense to have it, but UIQ3 is different - we're talking about an UI that's being deployed in non-touchscreen phones like the MOTO Z8, there's really no excuse for it to not be as easy to use in the SE's phones!

I have also access to another site intended for Vendors and there the prize is set to ~3600 SEK + VAT and that gives at least a hint that the price won’t end up at ~599 EUR (hopefully)

And you need the freakin' left / right arrow keys at the bottom of the keyboard to move between tabs.

Aha! Yep, that's probably the missing link between the M600/P1 and the W950/W960 - those two little keys help out a lot.
Of course they wouldn't be necessary if SE had stuck with the old 5-way jog dial - that would have made the whole range a lot easier to use... but at the least the M600 & P1 have something to replace those missing directions, unlike the the P990, W950, and W960.
