Not sure what happens when I install this, but it seems the Blackberry APN is not created.
I tried installing 4.59 and upgrading instead, but it doesn't work. 4.79 does not get installed and the install program quits without an error message.
Any hints?
Anyone has info for creating the Blackberry APN manually?
Thanks.

This seems not to be an usual problem. Are you using R6E30 or R6F41 on your phone? I upgraded the firmware (to R6F41), removed active sync and just installed Blackberry. Everything went smoothly & automatically...

Hmm, ok...
I have R6F41, so maybe some residue from 4.59 is causing me problems.
I guess I have to do a master reset and try again.
Thanks!

Thanks Dominique!
After doing a master reset and re-installing it eventually registered OK and the mails started dropping in again.

Hi all!
I have downloaded and installed this firmware but audio during a call is very low! like last firmware. (I've a German P1i)
I try to set all volume parameters on top, but I have any good results! I'm afraid!
When i listen a mp3, speaker volume is very high!!! Why not during a call??!
I try also to call SonyEriccson but custmare service has told me that they don't know about this problem.
Any one know how to solve?

You have some different sliders in the "volume"- menu you can pick down from the arrow on the status- bar (it's the same menu you'll find on the settings in the main- menu). Try fiddling around with those. Other than that, when you're running an app, if you can use the wheel to control the volume, it will be the multimedia- volume. If you're using the phone, the jog- wheel will control the speaker- volume.

Yes I know! I set all those on max! But volume during a call remain low!
Moreover, (please!!) can any one explane me how P1i choose which sms store on Sim ad which sms store on phone memory? It's random? Why does it save someone on the sim and other on the memory?
And also, when i send an sms I can choose if "select a contact" from contact list or choose a contact in the fast-list (taken by old sms sent). how can i delete this list?
thanks

AFAIK P1i stores incoming messages on the sim if there is space, and if not on phone memory.
By the way, on this matter, I have the previous firmware and I noticed a bug: if a new message is stored on the sim, when I go to "messages" to view the new message, I'm directed to the last message saved on the phone (also if it was already read) instead of to the new incoming message stored on the sim. So I have to scroll to the new message and open it: this is really anoying to me.
Could you please confirm this beaviour, too?
