Hi all, I'm back...

So back to this W960 (UIQ3) sound issue... With some versions the warmth of the music is totally missing (and thus a specific range of details as well), instead everything sounds really cold, seems like a pretty radical eqalizer is applied.

Tested with: W960 (UIQ3) (no manual EQ, tested with flat preset)
Sennheiser CX500 earbuds
Tracks: John Williams - Star Wars Main Title...
Rock n Rolla soundtrack - Rock & Roll Queen
Madonna - Push
Buena Vista Social Club - El Carratero

Allright, so one night I went through most of the versions one after the other, and made some real quick notes. (No need to turn on and off the phone, no need to connect to the computer, etc, so it went relatively quick)

v3.0 Loud - Awesome! No problems whatsoever, I'm still using this one.
v3.0 Bass - still not bad, just different, matter of taste
v5.0 - OK (whatever it means, it didn't sound that bad i guess)
v5.6 Open - Suxx /exactly the sounds cold, totally missing something problem/
v5.6 Closed - OK
v7.2 - Maybe OK for some sort of music /the problem is present, but to a smaller degree/
v8.2 - Good
v9.3&newer - Suxx real bad

So, in conclusion, there seems to be something in common: v5.6 open, V9.3+
I hope it was useful and you can actually figure out the reasons for this I'm pretty interested.

This is not a patch, it will work! Just upload it to your phone using A2uploader to the folders specified in readme file.

Hehe you say that and it does sound like my CX-300 is much better than my HPM-70. I'm now considering getting a HPM-77, which is miles better than HPM-70. If only I can use my CX-300 with the HPM-77...

I thought you can use HPM-77 with CX-300... I think HPM-77 has 3.5mm jack converter?

Based on your query, it seems that phf_play.wbxml has more effects in symbian to the others phf, maybe because it has 3 files instead of 4 (compared with SE proprietary os)...

Unfortunately I don't have any Symbian phones to fix this issue.. But this could be a different story if you can be my beta tester? Would you like to?

hi guys i download the latest zip but i dont know which folder i must copy ifs/system/acoustic ...i use g705 and i need clear voice when i talked someone ...my phone make very crackle i cant understand what was him talking when i speak someone in outside ...wind woice or any other background voice taken very loudly i cant hear him... which folder in latest zip i can use for fix this problem ...i m waiting for your help ...tnx a lot and apologise for my bad english


- Upload csv files in "csv to tpa-preset-acoustic, not for A2v1 or UIQ" folder to tpa/preset/acoustic
- There are two types of wbxml, so just choose only one. Upload wbxml files in "wbxml to ifs-settings-acoustic" folder to ifs/settings/acoustic. If your phone is not W995, do not upload phf_jack_play.wbxml
- It's not necessary to upload customize_upgrade.xml in "3. optional - choose only one\2. customize_upgrade_xml to tpa-preset-custom, not for Clear Audio or UIQ" folder to tpa/preset/custom. Read further for more information. If your phone has Clear Audio Experience or it was UIQ3, do not do
