Really don't know why its pointing to the green on the arc being good when its better on the iphone 4 same as pretty much everything else.
I also have an RGB screen showing true colour gamut, also an NX Bravia witawoo

the iphone 4 screen still does beat anything I ever seen in terms of picture quality & sharpness. And as I see it it's alot more natural in colour compared to the over saturated S-AMOLED. I do though wish
would get rid of the constant blue background

I'm sure we will see it by the end of March here in Scandinavia. But as with many other phones it will most certainly not be released simultaneously in all countries, so it is a possible e.g. UK will get it later.

I would of thought UK is one of the first for release as the UK is probably the most important market for their high end phones.
Having said that we never saw the c901, and a May 31st worldwide release date seems a typical SE thing to do.

I see Carphone are showing this phone as coming out in June...does that seem likely, or should we see it available around March/April time??
EDIT:
I have a HTC Desire with the AMOLED screen and over time it has suffered from screen burn. Would this be the same case with the Arc's display??

Carphone ? they also expect X8 to be available in Feb.. so just guess
about the screen burns.. it's a drawback in AMOLED displays ( including OLED and S-AMOLED ).. LCD does not have this drawback including the S-LCD used in Xperia Arc...
EDIT:
Carphone now adjusted the Arc expectation to April

is Gingerbread just a new renamed version of the 2.4 android system?
if so then wont it be available to all other phones anyway?
like with Apple when they moved to iOS4 etc?
btw looks a nice phone looks alot like the first X10 so its not really much
of a difference just a improvement I think
with a few added bits on top

We should not forget that "bravia engine" is 1st generation display.where as s-amoled is 2nd generation. So you guys should stop complaining abt "bravia engine"not being the best display
