I also just tried a pitch black camera test Arc vs TX. The TX does seem to have an issue with focussing. It just doesn't in the dark. The LED came on to help it, but the lens couldn't catch the focus depth. I could see in the viewfinder when it was in or out of focus but it couldn't lock. Strange. I think this is a bug to be fixed by the pleasant software engineers in Lund.
Anyone any ideas of when the ARC series will get JB? I heard next month but I remember it not being a 100% reliable source.

It's proven, my XS loads very quick but when I play with it, especially internet, it actually stays on the same batt level.
The link you gave gives error.
Yeah I know it doesn't charge as fast whilst being played with.
Which link is broken?
Interestingly Arc's 8MP shot file size is bigger than the 13MP shot by TX. I guess there is A LOT of compression going on hence the poorer quality of the TX. Perhaps it's so the hype of having a 'quick snap' feature is relevant during launch then they reduce the speed performance in favour of better quality in later firmwares, but I think t's more likely that it's just a continuation of the trend for years that the camera quality is worse in each new generation of Sony (SE) handset. There was quite a clear peak at the end of the Cybershot line and since then a steady decline.
Either way, I have a DSLR for taking photos nowadays and the phone is good enough for general use, and actually the photos look stunning on the device itself (how I view my photos taken on the phone) with richer colours, sharper edges etc. Perhaps that's why they introduced Bravia Engine; to hide the poor camera processing.
Thanks.

Another XT review.
On paper, the Sony Xperia T's camera is impressive, as the handset boasts a 13MP camera with a back-illuminated Exmor R sensor and LED flash.
Thankfully, it's just as impressive in real life too, and still photos come out full of detail with little noise.

Anyone know the details on the availability of the TX, I mostly see the T but no news on the TX.

@rycexboi Not exactly a concrete proof but I found going to
www.expansys.com/group/ and clicking the country and seeing if they have it listed is a not bad way. If T is listed there then it's likely to become available, same goes for TX. Not concrete as they do sell other global variants occasionally but they usually state if it's an imported variant. Also their release dates tend to be the official generic sim-free release dates and they update them to the date that they are actually getting stock, but they can be a bit lazy with the dates.

Does Xperia T/TX capable of
Wi-fi Calling? I'm asking because I'm living in the basement and there's not good signal down there. If possible, I hope to enable it on my T-Mobile USA network. I do currently have wifi calling on my plan, currently enabled on my phone, HTC Amaze 4G.
If I can somehow get wi-fi calling on the Xperia T/TX on my network, it would be awesome. so I can even make calls in this here basement.

Ricky D - How did you install GAPPS to your Xperia TX?

I downloaded the Xperia T system dump from
here, extracted all the relevant Google Apps and other apps I wanted like facebook integration packages (I took 22 in total) then pushed them to my TX and installed them.
I did try backing up those apps from the Arc to sd card using Titanium, then restoring them on the TX. That worked to an extent but the T is much closer to TX in terms of hardware so I replaced everything with the T files.
Also in that package is the new album app with pinch-to-zoom thumbs and the spinning globe geo-tagged photo viewer thing. It's called SemcAlbum.apk and installs on older handsets with no issues.
