Hi Gang,

I know most of you already own one of the Z5 series but I'm still a newbie to this Z5 and loving it.

One thing I just noticed is:
1. a SERIOUS mess of the MicroSD card folder and file entries:
Android or Sony's Android 5.1.1 puts waaay too many folders and sub-folders and there is NO RHYME nor reason for all the messy and nonsense of DCIM, Photos, Android: Photos, Media etc that is in all of this. WORSE is Android/Google Music (Free). I've uploaded all my music and downloaded it over WiFi to my MicroSD card in the Z5 and then all the track names are numbers no artist nor file name! Arrrgh.

2. Some folders within the com.android main folder still have the name "Sonyericsson" within. VERY cool that Sony still honors their former partnership success.

History Lesson: Did SonyEricsson make any Android phones and which models where they?
Xperia Arc was the first I believe.

All Sony Ericsson Androids:

Started with the Xperia X10 aka Rachel ended with Xperia Arc S being the last flagship.

Damn! I forgot about the Arc S! I did try the Arc but although I loved the design I was late by 2yrs so it was underpowered! I love the Z5 so much I think i just may get teh Z5C for travelling on trips later this year. Thus far phenomenal pictures, tomorrow I'll try to upload a few.

Any advise on how to upload?

Also anyone Encrypt their Z5 and still use fingerprint scanner ... I LOVE that implementation. To me it's as accurate as teh iPhone 5C/6 and speeds are the same.

Ok so a finding and another question.

First I formated to factory settings on my Z5. I setup my accounts basic Email, File Sharing and Fingerprint
I then encrypted my phone took 10mins as I barely had anything on it, no media, FB not setup hardly any storage used.
Then FW Updated (factory update via Settings)

FYI - Fingerprint reader works while Encrypted in case anyone wants to know! no performance lag!

I then formated my SanDisk MicroSD card and I have 1 folder: Android
Since I didn't like how many crazy folders I had and mixed folders from my BB10 device ...

I have a question:
Where do I place my music (AAC and MP3's) on the MicroSD card so that the native Sony Music application works?
Secondly, how do i migrate my iTunes music playlists, and can I edit them and have them sync back?

Screw it. I installed Sony MediaGo App and it's finding my iTunes playlists and all my music. Seems to create 3 new folders > MediaGo holds the content, Albums (has placeholders for all the album titles).

Even with all the new device annoucements my Xperia Z5 is STILL an amazing phone and quite capable ! The only thing is the forced non-compatibility with newer accessories (done no doubt to push Xperia X model sales since their released 6mth after the Z5 series).

LOVE my Z5!!

I know right?! I cannot understand all these wankers going on about it being shoddy! It performs just as well as iPhone scanner.
The ISSUE all these reviewers have it setting it up NOT in the same manner picking up the phone. which means using it to pickup the phone, pressing power the waking it up also initiates a scan is sublime!

Right now I'm looking to sell my Xperia Z5 and then order a BNIB Z5 Compact! My hands just are not big enough for a 5" screen.

I'm VERY PISSED at Sony's decision not to make the X series with the same 4.6" screen. This means I'll be buying 2x Z5 Compacts before summer for longevity.
