Honestly I don't know. It will be upgraded to 1080 as I previously mentioned plus 4K 60fps and lower aperture. Don't know much about the camera but the source mentioned that it will be seriously impressive and I have no reason to doubt my friend. I hope I can get some new info about the camera. Honestly I'm very curious.
It's pretty much confirmed that the new flagship will use the SD845. As again you mentioned a while back that the phone will support 4K @ 60fps.

Yeah that's true.
there are rumors that galaxy S9 will be unveiled earlier than the usual time-frame so hopefully the other OEMs don't have to Delay their flagships for SD845

I believe this 5.5 inch protype oled is relatively new one because last time I checked it was a 5.2 inch FHD oled display.
Anyway, SD845 turning out to be much better than I anticipated.

Using brand new CPU ( A75 and A55) and GPU architecture for SoC. 30% performance gain is very impressive.
The most exciting part for me is that the ISP Spectra 280 supports-
multi frame noise reduction (MFNR) which is a feature Google use in their HDR+ proprietary processing. Qualcomm now makes it really easy to use MFNR in their SD845, I sure hope Sony take full advantage of this hardware capabilities and finally have a stellar camera capable of producing amazing photos consistently.

I hope they forget the stupid hybrid slot and bring true dual flagships.
I bet the dual sim of z3, z4 and z5 were more popular than single sim.
Reason I do not buy the compact is no dual version.

Do any of you guys know if upcoming 4K phone(s) will offer all-time 4K screen resolution (so not just for photos and videos)?
Can this be enabled on any of the current 4K phones?

It can be done on the XZ Premium, Erica Griffin has a YouTube video on positives and negatives of 4K always on.

@ambivalent
I've seen videos about 4K all the time.
Ppl say everything looks amazing.
But on XZP the dialer crashes all the time.
Battery life becomes much shorter.
I do not know if it can be done on z5p, never looked for any video about.

Thanks for the input.
What I was hoping is the official support for the permanent 4K resolution so that people don't have to mess with the device and jeopardize the stability.

Something like a software switch to 1080 battery saving mode would be great.
BTW Sammy debunked the rumors of S9 debuting early
