About the battery consumption, I think you have to wait several charging cycles as stated in the user manua.
When I first use the phone, the battery drained at about 6% per hour, now I have 50% battery left at 7 o'clock in the evening after using it since morning. This is with wifi and bluetooth usage, youtube, mail check every 30 minutes. The screen brightness is at the minimum (still very bright).

Sorry but my Elm's battery has been solid right from the box, I do not believe in all this charge cycles. Lithium batteries don't need to do that

Why should the X10 be any different? I have never seen any difference with charge cycles & also don't believe what stores say when they tell you to charge it for 16 hours first charge. When it's full it's full.

How are people fairing on screen brightness? Mine is on automatic but it does seem quite dark. When I put it side by side with my W960 the difference is very noticeable. Once my battery is broken in I might have to step it on to manual. Either that or become accustomed to it!

So this is how the business is done.
Good device compromised with the other.
They put most effort to produce X10,
with unbelievable amount of disaster with X2 right now.
I bet you'll soon encounter similar things with the future treatment by SE,
this company is a shame overally.

Pity. Android is very stable. I'll never buy another Symbian, that's for sure.

X2 is WM.
The problem is not OS.
The problem is shi..tty company
without a proper R&D development
and very rude strategy regarding customers.
Other devices run WM very smoothly
like HTC.

Ah. Their R & D needs castrating then. The X2 looked a very promising device. Great design and great specs.
