My point exactly Aya, by the time these phones arrive in Nigeria most of the bugs have been fixed, so people like 2tek ought not to have problems.

Quite correct, under normal circumstances. But again we also know that many handsets come into the country through non-official channels.

Meaning that every now and then, people still end up with buggy phones

These bugs must be what crept into my p900 for over a month now.The phone cannot just browse.I think d best bet is to quietly dispose it. This message was posted from a Nokia

In mamba's case, its understandable being that the k750i is still relatively new, but k700i? It also seems that these bugs are mostly firmware related, does SE develop their own OS? or is it a compatibility issue.
@2tek: what are the bugs you have noticed on your k700i?
It seems we now have SE presence in Nigeria, I've been noticing sponsored adverts all around. Maybe we can channel these complaints to them:-(

Ihe how much do you want for your P900? How clean (or otherwise) is it?

Yes; most bugs are firmware related. But you would be amazed that as old as the P800 is, for example, and after years of firmware update releases, it still has bugs!!!! Aaaargh!

Truth is, each firmware upgrade exchanges one set of bugs for another, mostly. That's why its mostly useless doing those upgrades.

Again, yes, it does seem like SE now has a presence in Nigeria, but even that - if true - will make no difference. Actually, it does seem that people run into SE bugs the most in the countries where SE has a presence. Awesome!

You guyz are real funny Brym, That means most of the people on esato have been jazzed by SE too.. Let's face facts, the k750 is real good & doesn't have any worthy competitor yet.. i just wanted a good basic phone that could play mp3, act as a digital camera with radio, good battery life, screen, themes, speed & act as flash drive all in one, that's why i settled for k750i.. i never knew i'll be fighting with bugs & looking for ways to kill em.. Well, i learnt my lesson & shoulda read the user reviews

Think some of the complaints are coming from (a) refurbished phones that were from the so-called experimental 1st batch or (b) phones unblocked from foreign SPs. Only my T68i ever have me probs and i always suspected it was refurbished. I have an idea! Why dont we call this the Proudly Nokia Forum? ;-) This message was posted from a S700
