@786KBR: Welcome back bro. I visited that religious thread once and never went back again...arguing about religion is just not my cup of tea.
@da krypsta: I think the N-series and W800i will vie for the top spot on Christmas wishlists this year.

@Blue, the chances of me getting either phone are really slim atm. Unless, of course, a really wealthy relative kicks the bucket real soon hehehehe *evil grin* This message was posted from a Nokia

Still not a single word regarding exact dates for N91 availability, apart that it "should" be available here in January...
Not that I'm keen to get one, just noting how much later its imminent release is, compared to the other N-series announced at the same time. I did post a link in the past about DRM software issues that they were still working on,which was apparently causing the delay.

Oh well, its delay can only benefit W800 sales, perhaps.
Wonder if the 3250 will be out before the N91...

What's all this talk of dead relatives? Just did a count of my relatives and there's no-one doing a Georgie Best in some ICU.

@Blue, not only will i cast a favorable eye, but i'll deliver your N90 in person

In today's newspaper:-

"...a new law will soon allow phones to be tapped and emails to be intercepted in the fight against crime, the department of justice said yesterday...."

"In order to control the lawful use of cellphones and SIM cards, the act requires that lost, stolen or destroyed cellphones and SIM cards be reported at any police station. Failure to do so will constitute a criminal offence."

"...into operation by the end of the year."

Food for thought, gentlemen...

Two things:
1. a rather serious invasion of privacy, which will no doubt have legal battle consequences, both from individuals and the corporate/business world...
2. what logistics would have to be in place and how much of taxpayers' money would be needed for this to be an 'effective' reality?

Given our record for passing laws which are largely unenforceable, i have serious misgivings as to the efficacy of this Act. For starters, the regulation/registration of the prepaid sector is bound to be a logistic nightmare.

I, for one, am highly unlikely to cooperate with any drive to register my numbers or phone. It smacks of further dilution of our Constitution, imo.

Here's a typical example- my brother emailed me reminding me that i, being born in February, have to re-register my firearm between October and December. I had forgotten that this was the outcome of talks between SAGA and the Firearm Registry chaps, in the form of an amendment to current legislation. Lo and behold, i rock up at the local SAPS this afternoon, only to learn that the official in charge was on leave, and that those standing in were not certain of the registration dates, fees, etc themselves.
