Looks like they need to use a larger f/1.8 sensor and f/2.0 (or larger) optics.
That and they need to use a better image processor. f**k Cybershot, they should use the Bionz chip they have in their RX100
No, Sony just needs to dial back on the noise reduction; the loss of detail seen in those shots are noise reduction artifacts. Sony's sensors are among the best in the industry, and I'm fairly certain the optics for their camera modules are perfectly fine.
Sony's always had a problem with their JPEG processing algorithms, and it's clear that they haven't changed it yet.

Hence Bionz. Its pretty much class-leading image processing technology.
Naturally, they'll need to shrink the process and reduce the size of the chip, but once they've done that, outside the Pureview, Sony will be market leader with Smartphone cameras.

Bionz doesn't fix Sony's problems with noise reduction.
Comparing Nikon and Sony shows that Sony's noise reduction algorithm is still far more destructive towards details. The problem isn't the sensor, the problem isn't the optics; the problem isn't even Sony's image processing. Sony just needs to dial back on the noise reduction. Plain and simple.
At the same time, though, the pictures from the T/TX/whatever look fine when not cropped in 100% (most people aren't going to crop in that much on a cellphone picture anyway).

how come SXV uses Bluetooth v4.0 while SXT/SXTX uses v3.1 ?
I start to get the feeling that SXV was fully developed in Jepan unlike SXT/SXTX.

Hi.
I did not like the 2012 line and I also do not like these 3 new phones ...
I Just do not understand why sony needs 4-5 phones same size and almost the same specifications (and ignore their Mini fans) ...
To develop so many phones cost too much and they will never earn it back.
If I was Sony I would make 3 phones S.M.L in 2 versions each ... basic and high end.

+1 Neither do I. I really miss the 2011 Xperia design... I still can't distinguish T/TX/V/J/whatever since they all look the same and have the same specifications. But... my signature says it all. They all have same boring design, same quite good processors, mediocre amount of RAM, good music player, bad and ugly Sony custom UI, poor cameras, shitty online services and... that's it.

Useless complain in the wrong section.
Second, keep on-topic please.
Third, excellent trolling food for Sammy lovers

Mediar is one of them

Why should I complain of something that looks good. Or, well, good is probably not the right word, but still... nothing can beat Xperia Pro and Lumia 610. Talking about design:
LG Optimus G
Sony Xperia... one of them:

Some would call this a consistant design language across their hardware. This is subjective.
They all have same boring design,
Again subjective. I happen to think that the Xperia V looks pretty damn nice.
same quite good processors, mediocre amount of RAM,
2GB of RAM is a total waste of money seeing as the OS barely uses 1GB. If you needed more, 1.5GB would be more than enough. Sure everyone loves to see numbers go up, but its not really necessary. There is a reason why a lot of people think the Galaxy Nexus is the best Android phone out right now, even though its got the worst specs (its less powerful than the Xperia S, heck even NovaThor gives it a run for its money). Power isn't everything.
good music player,
Can't really fault Walkman.
bad and ugly Sony custom UI
Again subjective. Bad compared to what? In my opinion, Touchwiz is a total abomination, Sense is OK, Motoblur is worse than Touchwiz and whatever LG uses is truely awful. Perhaps you should try treating your opinion as subjective rather than fact.
poor cameras,
Compared to what? Pureview? Sorry mate Nokia has exclusivity over that tech. iphone 4S? Uses the same sensor. Samsung GS3? Uses the same sensor and so on. Sure Sony is a little heavy handed with the noise reduction, but there is nothing wrong with the camera sensor or optics.
shitty online services
Compared to what? Outside of Apple and Google (Amazon don't make a phone), Sony is the only OEM with its own proper infrastructure. f**k without Sony, Apple and Google wouldn't even have a decent infrastructure given that Sony owns about 65% of all entertainment (Music, Movies etc.)

Dude you need to chill. If you hate Sony so much why post here. Why waste the effort of trudging yourself to this thread to moan and needlessly raise your blood-pressure. Go to a Samsung, or HTC or LG or Motorola or whatever other thread you have something positive and/or constructive to say.
