@Demmy,I gave it a thought some days ago. This free stuff might not really be coming from MTN.Even though they contributed a lot.I think much of it is coming from mtech or whoever owns mtech. This message was posted from a Nokia

gprs is part of the infrastructure of any mobile network & probably shouldn't be operated by 3rd party.. i might be wrong but that's what i think, where's AYA? plz shed more light..

@mamba,I thnk it depends on wht structure any mobile co hs on ground.I also thnk tht if MTN had gprs as part of it's infrastructure,it wldn't allow a whole year 2 elapse btwn Glo gprs & MTN gprs.Dial-up ws providd by mlife,an arm of mtech. This message was posted from a Nokia

IMO mtech/mlife have no involvement in sightz and soundz. This is purely an mtn initiative. gprs is too intertwined with gsm operations for any network operator to allow 3rd party involvement.

@Angelgirl: I also get that message sometimes, but if you leave it for a while say 24hrs you'll be able to get a connection afterwards. Billing for gprs haven't really begun because I'm still browsing for free. there's going to be some drama in the gprs arena as soon as mtn discloses its tariff structure, and I'm looking 4ward to it.

@Ihe, what's with the hunt for Nokia 6260? I don't see anything spectacular in that phone.. p900 is much better, unless you don't like the stylus operation. your wap problem could be fixed with online upgrade or you could use opera 6.3 or mini..
