Well Zackbucks is worth paying attention to at least.

Dunno, so far this just seems like an off year for Sony. New deisgn language that's spurred a lot of controversy, the Premium being delayed so long, supposed issues getting the dual cam setup going. Let's hope they find their footing for the second half of the year.

Their devices are amazing for the most part, they just have to make some tweaks to make them more desirable for the mass market and then get those blood phones out to the mass market asap.

Not sure why in-display fingerprint sensor still fussing around, it's already failed technology for most of us

Unless you want to look cool and sacrifice protection from scratch / crack.

maybe someone should make offer with sapphire glass.

------------

4K OLED on phone also not quite surprise anyway

who will make it at current stage of production, when Apple already buy-out majority of capacity output.

It is not patently ridiculous. Samsung S10 may be like this.

It's pretty amazing that Sony has a sensational 4K screen on a phone with dual camera that should take amazing night shots yet nobody has any idea of where to find it. People accepted the bezels and stuff with the shiny XZP and still hold it in high regard, its very suspicious that the XZ2P has had no coverage or marketing whatsoever.

I'm still waiting to see how the dual camera compares to the current heavyweights. I'm also waiting for IFA, feels like that is the main event for Sony this year.

Haven't used any screen protector for my XZ since I got it. Zero scratchs.

Tech sites were not invited.
They did not even know XZ2P was going to show up on that day.

The funny part is those tiny youtube channels that dont even have 1000 views for each video claim to have the phone to compared camera.
And some ppl believe thats XZ2p.

If the official video was really recorded by the phone ( we never know), it is enough to know what it can do.
Look at the piano girl, you can clearly see all the details of her dress.
I watched the video many times, I could not find noise.

I am so curious to see because ISO 400 is enough to ruin photos in many situations.

Ppl on DPREVIEW comment that cameras have hardware, but they dont have the processing power of smartphones.

I do not think that the footage in the trailer was recorded with the XZ2 Premium. Even so all the changes in the iso are simulated, they used the output levels to simulate the effect

Samsung? Maybe. But from Sony? With how little they're spending on smartphone R&D? With how little a return they're making on their frankly bloated smartphone lineup?
Not a damn chance.

I'll be happy if I'm proven wrong this time next year, but I ain't getting my hopes up.
