Nokia's trying to kill them all with the release of their new phones. N92 sports DVB-H when there aren't any broadcasters in the world using the standard. Probably their way of forcing the hand of broadcasters to adopt the standard.
Personally I like the look of the N71 although I should add that I'm no fan of flip phones.
Has anyone noticed how the new phones by Nokia are packing more weight...moving a way from a trend started in the late 90s and early 00s of cutting bulk...
The N71 is reported to go on sale at Euros400(R3192), N80 at Euros500(R3990), and the N92 at Euros 600 (R4789).
I'd like to see what these phones will cost when they reach local shores early next year.

Very heavy on the pocket indeed....either one has to be damn rich or a big borrower or a total fanatic to go for these phones...

I think the N71 will be quite competitive when it comes onto the market as it's at about cheaper than the W800i.

If its going to be cheaper than the w800i then definitely its one to keep a watch for. Btw, what about the features? Same or better than the w800i? I would especially be interested in the camera and the mp3 feature.

@BlueQuill: I haven't checked the specs but it should be better than the W800i which would've considerably dated when the N71 gets released.

My night shift almost over now :-) talking about cell prices. My 7650 was 800euro 3y ago on a local (SA dealer) special.Sounds a lot ? Comes to think of it - should I have bought a less suitable cell I should have upgraded every year at 300euro/year.I like the 7650's follower (N80) But then again the 7650 does all I want a cell to do :-) @Kryptik My kids enjoy the bed-time stories (ebooks) very much.Thank you.I got a little application on my laptop which can convert any text into a S60 ebook and there are lots of ebooks on the net to chose and convert (huh that rithems rather nicely at this time of the morning).Greetings from Jeffrey's.Mario.

Good to hear that, Mario. Is it the Mobipocket conversion app which you're using?
Brix, any luck with the Mule yet? What exactly does the app do?

@da krypsta: I've got other things keeping me busy so I've put Mobile Mule on the backburner.
From what I've read it's the mobile version of eMule, the peer2peer file transfer application.

According to a radio bulletin Vodaphone today announced that they've started negotiations for an additional 15% share in Vodacom for R16billion. They say this move will give them a foothold in Southern Africa, with particular focus on areas like Lesotho and Mozambique.
Good news? Bad news?
