Evening,Blue.
Congrats on India's fourth consecutive ODI win against Sri Lanka in Pune, sealing the ODI series.
And a big congrats to Ajit Agarkar's 5 wicket haul.
Hey,Dhoni is quickly establishing himself in the master-blaster hall of fame...India indeed seems to have their own Kemp/Klusener/Afridi challenger...

@da krypsta: Honestly I'm not too excited about the prospect of Vodafone buying VenFin's 15% stake. They would still only own 50% of Vodacom...getting control would be more difficult than the WirelessMonkey seems to think.
It's all politics, I don't think Telkom would want to cede control of Vodacom to the Brits.
Just from reading on Esato, Vodafone is probably the least-favoured network due to a host of factors.
I'm expecting Tahir to come here and contradict me.

I've also been hoping to get Tahir's take on this situation. Personally i think Vodafone is trying to maneuver itself into an unassailable position, with a view to ultimately gaining control of Vodacom, ostensibly as a springboard into the African market. I really hope i'm wrong about this though. This message was posted from a Nokia

@BlueQuill: Yep, Halloween is over...it's not celebrated down here because it doesn't quite make sense seeing we're in Spring and Halloween is a marked to announce the onset of the Northern hemisphere winter.

@da krypsta: Seemingly VenFin shareholders have accepted the R16 billion offer from Vodafone for the purchase of their shares.

I'd also like to wish all my Muslim brothers and sisters on the thread a joyous Eid. Cape Town streets are empty today....looks like a Sunday.

I think this is great that Vodafone takes that 15% stake in Vodacom... Telkom should sell a few of their shares too.
As you all know I don't have anything against ____fone

I like the new Vodafone Logo
