I was considering the Z3, or more so the Z3c, but so far I don't see it bringing much new things to the game, sure the camera will be slightly better but then it will not bring anything to the cpu front. I'd rather spend my money on a walkman this fall and possibly the updated QX cameras which hopefully will be updated at IFA.

it was not a concept, it is still in R&D and honestly if SONY made it just as a concept why they didn't show it

all glass was in work from 2013 not even this year, and all the previous year was researching about the heat dissipation and the latest thing that was supposed to be as Z3 is if you see the phone from the front the left side was as a notification date & clock screen, the right side have all the switches, the top for the 3.5mm audio, there is 2 speakers on the far top and far bottom and a small strip at the bottom for the notification (colourful), the bottom is approximately bezel less just for the notification light and the speaker the top bezel have a 3MP camera and the speaker and this strange soft flash that we have in C3 and no bezel in the side, about the Camera on the back was the same sensor as Z2/Z1
don't know anything about the RAM & PROCESSOR but so far the same also
this was the latest info i have before i got shocked by this real Z3

Glass has poor thermal conductivity so that may be why they didn't go for the glass block design. Probably exceeded the thermal envelope and they had to can it. Not surprising really. Metal is far better for that kind of thing.

but the info i have is that they already overcome this by coating all the hardware and make the lanyard place working also as a relief valve something like this
and another thing, honestly why they keep have different beautiful designs and just produce the least beauty among them, is it hard to have this design but with Aluminium back as htc for example but with keeping this same exact front, or at least if they already did the zero side bezels in the lap and in near production device why we don't have this in production
a lot of questions may asked from the Z3 R&D story

In China Sony advertise the dock as 'wireless charging' ever since the original Xperia Z...

I don't get those small cut outs on the side. Iphone/HTC needs them because of the full metal back. Sony uses the same shitty plastic-like glass for f***'s sake!
