I think only opera mini uses d opera server to fetch webpages but opera for symbian connects directly to internet.

Dude, so was I - just mentioned opera 8.65/profimail (both apps ON my phone) to show that my phone setup and my network are o.k.! But here in RoI OPERAMINI server only seemed 'down' on thursday! Same btw on my friend's SE on a different network.

re. downloading - when you hit a download link in opera mini, your phone's wap-browser should automatically 'take over' and finish the download, that's how it works on all phones. Does your wap browser work o.k.? Maybe you check on operamini forum if there's currently a known prob with your model - a few people who used earlier versions without problems have reported probs with 3.1 that sometimes didn't show straightaway. Try a mod or older version to see if that works ... Remember, om is a free app designed to run on a vast range of handset models, there'll always be a fluke. We have 2 totally identical e61 at work - on 1 profimail just won't work. Checked and triple-checked, lcg actually emailed us 4 diff. versions of profimail - just not happening...

all along my wap browser dont work... i didnt pay for it... but i still manage to get opera mini working juz cant download...
but now i cant even connect to opera mini, i try reinstallin it cant even find the server while doing the setup at the beginning

then the problem is with your network. i was having problems the last sunday with mine. i couldn't even get connected with opera mini, hacked or webviewer. the problem was with my network.

Hi. I just downloaded the opera mini v2.02 mod recently which overwrote my v2.01. Unfortunately this was a russian version and now i want an english version back but cant find it on opera-mini.ru! And the version on Bosshogg's site downloads but gives me the "invalid application" error when i install it. Can some1 please post up another link or help me out please! Im using a SE W850i, firmware version...R1ED001. Some1 please help me ASAP! I need my english version of OM v2!
