OK, Here's the tip everyone is after
You can trick TT6 into widescreen on a P990i
1) Open Tomtom 6 and then close it so it appears in your rescent programs list.
2) Open Quickoffice, go to the drop down menu and select Landscape.
3) You should now have the view with the keyboard on the right hand side... Select the dropdown menu again and choose the task manager (which now comes up in landscape mode)
4) Open Tomtom the initial screen will look cut in half, but it will open in WIDESCREEN
5) Jump up and down and shout "THANK YOU MARViN!"

Hi Guys
Have tomtom running on my emasculated Orange 990i and it mostly seems to work well – with Swiss Pro helping things along.
A couple of queries.
I can't get my Apple Mac to see the phone when linked up by USB cable to tt Home.
Also, I can only program in the first part of the UK postcodes.
Any ideas?
Thanks

As to the postcodes... you need to install the full postcode database.

@LaurieCad,
I hate to have to tell you this but my understanding is that Mac's don't see SE phones even in mass storage device mode well in fact in any mode. So it is not Tom Tom that is the problem it is your SE P990 and although in the white paper it said something about Mac compatibility Sapporababy has had it confirmed by SE that they have no intention of implementing Mac support anytime soon if ever.

Great job Marvin!
I just tried this on my W950 using DocumentsToGo (since the W950 doesn't include QuickOffice like the P990 does) and it worked great. I now have TomTom running in landscape mode on my W950. Amazing!
The only thing to note is that in DocumentsToGo, you have to open up an actual document before you can rotate the screen into landscape mode. Thus, I simply opened up a small Word document and proceeded from there just as Marvin listed.
