I can understand plankgatan's unwillingness to post the raw whole photos. I don't think he's editing the photos, but seeing the original images reveal too much of the defects in the K850i and he's too much in love with his phone to allow anyone to see the imperfections.
He doesn't want to give more ammo to the Nokia groupies.
I give him credit he is a great photographer!
But he is influencing potential buyer's the photo capabilities of this phone. If plankgatan is using software why does he not admit it?

abubasim, there are enough full sized K850 images around that show reasonably sharp images. Of course any image resized will look sharper. This is no different to the K800 or even the K750 thread where no one bothers to post the large size. I myself never bothered, too much effort to post somewhere else, then have to cut and paste the url into the pictures thread. And then the pictures thread pages take ages to load etc.
Note on the first page of this thread, I got told off for posting full res images.
If anyone believes the K850 images are as sharp as they appear when resized, they need their heads read. I don't think plankgatan is trying to maintain that the pics at full size will be as sharp. This is true even of DSLR images at 1:1. If you look at any image at 1:1 you will notice artifacts of different kinds.
It's not necessary to see all of plankgatan's image at full res to be satisified with the capabilities of the K850. You only have to look at the images that many people have posted at full res, to then be able to use your own judgement to imagine how plankgatan's pics would look at full res.
I don't believe he is not trying to hide anything, this is the way picture threads have been run since the S700 (the first time images were large enough that they needed to be resized by esato.)
Here are some examples of full size, and imho they are as clear as you could expect from a small 5MP cmos sensor:

Are you all crazy??? Why are you so sure he is using software? It's quite normal that when pictures are resized smaller (as esato does when you upload image to esato), they become sharper and clearer.
It's exactly the same in the K750 and K800 picture threads but no one accused anyone of manipulating the images....sheeesh!

maybe planks using an amulet that gave him powers to capture digital crisp images...
this discussion wont go anywhere i tell yah.
Basic skills, know-how, and sheer talents are the ingredients...
we dont just shoot at scenes we wanted to take without even considering lights, coz photography is all about lights... controlling it.
if we cant multiply wot planks got in his camphone... then dont assume things. dont blame the phone, coz we all have same gadgets.. its all from SE.
"hate the game, not the player!" i too was amazed how planks got those shots, but its not impossible to replicate it... practice practice practice, do more readings... its creativity that counts most.
so lets just continue with the thread... eerr... wots this thread all about anyway?

plankgtan do you use any type of editing software for noise removal or photoshop or anything?
and for your night shots you just have a steady hand? or a tripod?
people...
i have NEVER use any software with my cell phones pictures.....never Photoshop, etc...(i havnt even Photoshop in my laptop).................ALL this pictures is directley from the phone....100% truth.
look here....you must "see" the time in a picture & of course see where the right light is.......when you do that, you get good pictures..(remember, i take a lot of shitty pics to...who i of course throw away......but change the picture afterwards with software ??...thats not my style, i guarantee you that.

I believe you plangkatan, btw, you are a great shooter
just because GSMArena did not declare k850 as winner vs N95 doesn't mean K850 does not take good pictures, and of course it doesn't mean plangkatan is somewhat biased or a liar.

GSM ARENA sucks (like allways) on their compare phone to phone sites......
k850 take better Macro, Portrait, Flash & Night pics... then N95.....no doubt about that.

he he he...you guys are funny.....just look at max_wedge "dog" pics...it looked very sharp / awesome colors...
i bet he must used a software
(of course he didnt......whats the point with taken picture then ???

plankgatan says that he take a lot of bad shots as well as good and then discards the bad ones.
maybe some people would be happy if he included all photos taken, good and bad,but the point of this thread is to showcase the imaging power of the phone.
he also says that if you take your time and experiment with the white balance/iso settings then you will produce remarkable photos such as his.
if you really want digital camera quality then take a digi camera everywhere but i prefer, like most people,to have an excellent cam phone that nearly approaches digi cam quality.
i've currently got a k800 which i find takes excellent pics and have seen nothing to stop me getting a k850 in the next few weeks.
