Yes I know! I set all those on max! But volume during a call remain low!
Hm. Faulty speaker on the front?
Why does it save someone on the sim and other on the memory?
..pretty sure it just stores everything on the phone. But you can move messages to or from the sim- card.
And also, when i send an sms I can choose if "select a contact" from contact list or choose a contact in the fast-list (taken by old sms sent). how can i delete this list?
Not sure if you can..

I don't know if the front speaker is faulty, but I know that also rear speaker during a call has a low low volume!!
And this happen just during call! When I listen an mp3 or when ring volume is high! I think that is a problem with software... but how we can solve?!

this is a screen..... sim memory was not full ... but it stored on memory 2 sms and generally all sms from WIND (my phone mobile operator).

You could try backing up your contacts and messages, and then reflashing the phone. ..Do you have or have had any other voice- based programs installed? Fring, or something like that?

That's strange. ..There's a "folder" setting in the contacts. Can you check if it says anything on the contacts getting stored on the sim? I thought the phone didn't file messages like that, but.. maybe it does..
..Are you using activesync, btw? What about a call- manager of some kind?

No. On my phone I have just 3 programs installed: "frozen bubble", Gview, and Open Screen Capture.

All contacts getting stored on the sim have in the contact list proprieties: folder: unfiled
Like on the top I any call-manger or similar. I just install new firmware yesterday morning!
Morover, I repeat, it's a scandal that in 2007 with a mobile phone payed 500€ I can't set where my sms must be saved! Or that i can't delete sms recipient history!!
I hoped that SE was better then Nokia! But isn't so!
I regret like my N80 Nokia managed messages and contact!!

Guys,
It's unbelievable that this new firmware still has the bug that was already present on my M600 too. And this is not the only one...
The bug where from time to time the phone forgets to associate the incoming number to the contact names in the phonebook and so I just see the incoming numbers and not the names. This is really fascinating why this happens from time to time.
I guess there is no other solution than to rewrite the firmware and restore your backup, is it?
My biggest problem with this workaround is that my voice dialing sound clips that I have recorded are lost and not recovered with the restore.
I'm getting fed up with SE... too many bugs, some of them never should have been appearing on a market-ready phone. Overall feel of the P1i is like a beta phone for beta testers. SE does not take us (potential candidates for a phone like P1) seriously enough. I'm going back to Nokia..

((
Classic features of a mobile phone that have been there since the 90's does not seem to work on this phone. I'm really getting fed up with this...

Are you sure that you don't have the same number associated to more than one contact, or have the contact stored on both the phone and sim-card?

The problem with the contact names not showing when recieving an incoming call has to do with the contacts being on both the SIM-card and the phone memory, when some contacts have voice commands added to them. Plus you can't get in to the SIM-card folder to delete them.
Put your SIM-card in another phone and delete all SIM-contacts, then reinsert it in your P1i, and it should work.
If you don't have another phone, remove all voice commands, then enter the SIM-folder on your P1i and delete all SIM-contacts, then you can re-add the voice commands.
Everything should work if you follow this.

As opposed to this convenient workaround of removing and re-recording voice commands, I believe you don't even have to record voice commands for contacts on the N95, it automatically trains to your voice. (Can anyone confirm this?)

Till the next bug surfaces, that is.
The p1i is truly a great-looking phone. And truly a great beta product too...

Anil Gidwani, might I ask what your comment is doing in a thread regarding the latest firmware-update for the P1i?! Please let us enthusiasts discuss this matter alone, I don't care what the N95 can and cannot do.

You live in wonderland?
I have no knowledge of any recent phone that has no bugs!
If you want to swap your P1 bugs by different bugs on another phone, please, be my guest.
This is the unfortunate reallity be live on. Get used to it and learn.
Most of these bugs can be avoided by using a different software.
