i'm staying with 2.3.5. until the full ics becomes available. i rooted with chainfire kernal..flashed it in odin. everything is good. no noticeable issues...scrolling is SUPER smooth..everywhere. love it. everything is snappy and instant...btw, i upgrade from kf3 if anybody is considering doing the same from that firmware.

Guys/Gals, does anyone need a further 64GB of memory on board their phone? I saw on
XDA Developers that a couple guys got one of the new Micro sdxc 64gb card to work on his GS2.
Now these cards are not cheap going for $200 or near that.
Who will be getting one? Incredible where these cards are going.

@buntoo,
Do you think we should wait for the ICS update then root, or root now?
Update has nothing to do with "root". Your phone will get the update regardless it is rooted or not.
Without root, the phone is very limited. There are many useful applications that need root.
Root it now and enjoy the full power of android. Follow the link in my previous post. There you'll get every tutorial you're looking for.

Galaxy S is my first Samsung mobile and it is my personal experience that modding Samsung mobiles is quite easy (easier than

)
And there is approx zero chance of bricking your phone.
Don't get afraid and give it a try
