Hey Calvin
Good to see you back. As you can see not much activity in this thread . I don't have my 1520 anymore but I am glad you are still enjoying yours. It is a great phone indeed .
I have lumia 950xl though so I am running windows 10 mobile too. How are you finding it ?

@aussieland1
I'm loving WP10. Love the new 'Show more tiles' setting for the the Start screen, love the new customizations for the Start screen tiles, love the way everything looks in landscape mode with I think they call it the 'hamburger menu', love the new look of 'Settings', love the 'changing of text,apps, and items on the display setting', love the new look alphabetical search for app or contact find.
Lots to love about WP10.
Will check out the 950XL thread to hear what you guys have to say about the new generation latest flagship offering from Microsoft.

Thanks for the feedback .how do you find the performance? Mine is OK, smooth but Nexus 6 (with inferior hardware seems faster ).
I like the change in user interface too. The new settings emu looks exactly like windows 10 on pc which is nice. How do you find the edge browser ?

@aussieland
It's the transition animations that irritates me. I'm switching between the 1520 and a Note 5.The Note 5 is one of the fastest phones I've ever used and when switching to the 1520 it is sometimes torture because of that one thing, 'animated transitions'. On an Android phone you can switch all animations off by entering Developer Options,wish that was possible with WP.
I'm a fan of Microsoft Edge.Also use it now on my laptop.Its a nice clean web browser. Nice to see the back of IE.I ever used it.
So heres hoping that the final build of WP10 has a less animated transition or at least an option to switch them off.

I see what you are saying about the animations but they don't bother me as much. What bothers me more is that when I open certain apps it takes a bit longer to load everything compared to its and android . It's developers fault most likely but still I get the impression that the phone is slower
I like edge too. It displays pages much better than Internet Explorer (glad that's gone too ). I also like, e how it syncs with edge on my laptop. But on the phone at least some pages load slower than say chrome does on android. Also there are cases when the page doesn't load at all so I have to press refresh . This is something I amight sure will be fixed with future updates
Do you use cortana?

Yep have Cortana set up. Find Cortana and OK Google on the Note 5 pretty useful. yThey both work extremely well.
Lets see what this thing is that is gonna 'blow our minds'. All I'm asking for is a speedier system and a toning down in animation. And a free use of Word and Excel without buying an Office 365 suscription lol

I agree with your wishes. I am interested in Cortana maybe I will give it a try . I use Google Now a lot though on my Nexus - I find it so useful.
I am hoping for an improvement in the performance of Edge too. I agree that the interface is clean, plus I think it displays websites much better than internet explorer however it's performance is not as good as it should be (thinking at the power that 950 xl has)
