i dont understand where you buy "credits"...
i went to
www.faceoffmobile.com but i dont see anyplace where they sell credits...anyone please post a direct link to where you buy the credits...
also...once i have gotten the credit...gotten the username and password and junk....how do i get the actual firmware and language pack files? I noticed in the MultiServer 1.30 there is a "Download Area" button ...is that where you go to download the files once u get the credit?
And last...has anyone done this with a DSS-20/25? Id rather not have to buy another piece of hardware for the phone...lol

yes you can download all the files you need once you have your username and password, the instructions are in the program too.
You will need to buy the t28 cable, there is no guarantee that the dss station will ever work.
If you need a credit and a cable then this is your best bet on price

So anyone that debranded their phone with TS 1.28 (and above) and software R2AA_RE29 won't be able to use Sony Ericsson Update Service. SE US determins if your device is capable of upgrading by looking at the CDA number in Customization. TS Team is aware of that and solution may (or may not) come in future updates. FIRMWARE UPDATES (only firmware, no language changing, no debranding) are FREE using TS! (You need valid user name and password and at least 1 credit in your account to be able to download new files and use the program, but just the firmware upgrade WILL NOT eat your credit!!!).
As far as I am aware the solution for this is only to do another debranding with different files that will give another CDA #. Those files DON'T EXIST yet so don't ask for them. For now the situation is that if you debrand your phone you won't be able to use SE US, but you will be able to update software via TS for free...
Hope this clears this matter. I'll post here if I receive any new informations...

My experience debranding my voda k700i
using v1.30 with faceoffmobiles cable
followed instructions from TS website
Took three attempts to correctly complete stage one
disconnected battery and reloaded program between failed attempts in stage one.
(do not disconnect between a succesful stage 1 and 2)
took one attempt to complete stage 2
On initial boot up it takes a minute or two but subsequent boots are fine.
used only one credit for entire process.
all in all very successful.

The reason i can still use SE on online update is because i flashed with normal flash files as well!
they have basically changed the system so it will cost you 2 credits if you want to debrand you phone and have it work with SE online update....
People that have ONLY flashed the DEFAULT files (which de-brand the phone) will NOT be able to use SE online update.(uses one credit)
They will then need to flash the phone on the normal page as well with the normal files for firmware,language and customisation.
(uses another credit)
That is why i can still use se online update and you cant, because you only have the default files.

well i have been following this thread from the start, i've got my credit and I got my cable on the way and I must say I'm confused!!!!!
There are so many conflicting statements and instructions on how to do this.
I know that there are instructions on in total server and on their website but which do we follow and now the issue of being able to use the phone in SE update service after adds more confusion.
I would like to be able to use SE's update service in the future just don't know which instructions to follow now!!!

just follow totalserver's instructions. To de-brand now you will have to use the DEFAULT named files in the de-brand section of multiserver. (uses one credit)
you will then have an unbranded phone.
BUT
If you want to be able to use SE online update AS WELL it will cost 1 more credit to flash ALL 3 NORMAL files (firmware, language,customisation)
