SE were very secretive about the Windows part of the X1...so i am more than 100% sure that its WM7.
The guy who said it runs on '6' said it bit awkward(as if Clinton denying knowing Monica)...and moreover,if it was WM6,they would have shown it well during the demos...Xperia panels are not hard to make for SE IMO.The software seemed incomplete coz those demo models were filled with WM6 and not the originally intended WM7.
