@mange69 - Have you looked for any setting that will alow you to choose for the phone to ring as well as the headset? @ALL - Anybody else's phone doesn't sound the ringtone when a wired or a bluetooth headset is connected? Do all Android phones do this? Either way SE should fix this ASAP, because I have for example my HBH-PV740 bluetooth headset connected to my P990, but I don't nor want to wear the headset all day in order to hear whether I have a call coming in! Everybody with a X10, can you confirm this behaviour on your phones?

must be my ears .... there have been several over the last 2 years or so where people
have all complained that the call volume was low, but I've never had this .... perhaps I've
just been lucky.
I know what you mean about the battery though .... again expected given the network usage
timescape does .... I had it all turned on yesterday (wifi, BT etc) and got 27 hours from full
to flat (video playing, music, calls, web browsing) - I was curious to see how fast I could
kill it off

Hey Android users,
I was curious of one thing:
Yesterday I discovered once I install application on memory card,
I never have to install it again after upgrade or hard reset,
AND - I can just COPY & PASTE the thing to the other card,
and without any further installation, the application works immediately.
Is that the same on Android?!

I find it irritating that the phone doesn't ring when a headset is connected. It only sounds in the earpieces. Very easy to miss a call.

Have you tried this app:
Advanced Audio Manager
I don't have an androidphone yet, so I can't test it myself

@silentstorm .... hbh-gv435 .... I get handset rings using standard ringtone
that I have set, headset rings with default sound (not the handset's ringtone)
handset in "Silent mode" (sound is off) I only get the headset ringing - again
it's own default tone NOT the handsets' tone.

Has anyone figured out to use the phone as a modem (either wired OR unwired)?
Ricky, i too am looking for something on the same lines. As yet i have come across PDANet and EasyTether Lite.
After digging around it seems that PDANet only works with a wired connection atm since (AFAIK BT access requires 2.0) while EasyTether Lite doesn't support SSL and PPTP VPN connections are unstable.
To all: are there any better options available before SE look at this?
Regards
pop

@glorfingal -mange69 reported that his X10 doesn't ring, only his headset. I don't have a X10 yet but on my P990, it rings in both phone and headset as you described! I just wanted to confirm if only mange69's phone has a problem or everybody's X10. If other X10 owners can also post how their X10s behave, then we'll see if mange69 needs to choose a different setting or update his FW to solve his problem.

The timescape widget on my desktop screen does not update itself eventhough I can find the updates going in to the timescape screen. The update happens if I restart my phone or restart the screen widget. Have any one of you faced this?
It is annoying to see the same item on the desktop inspite of many other updates. Or is it due to some settings in my phone?
