@GOwin-- gprs starts slowing down,and it's really slow. ....15hrs... I have to disconnect. Is there a diff bet using the phone as a modem 4 pda/pc and surfing directly thru wap? TIA

surfing via wap on your phone is a different experience from surfing from a PC or a PDA.
but for your phone, pareho lang sya - modem function nya in all instances. sa case pa nga ng wapping in your phone browser/modem pa.
surfing via WAP is faster compared to HTML - syempre. kaya pag mabagal ang GPRS connection ko, i WAP via my opera browser para mabilis
