Hey!

Last week I updated thru SEUS to R1JG001.. and it was very good, with the movie preview.. louder earpierce

and don't know why, yesterday I plugged my k800, and ran SEUS agains... and it uptaded to R1KG001...

and.. f**k!
The browser button now wakes up the phone ang go to internet... no preview

So, beside the java improvment [7.3 to 7.4]... what is better in this new firmware?

That bowser button is annoying... prefered it when it had to be "long pressed" to go....

=(

Look at page 1 of this thread. I also think R1KG is lauder than R1JG (Maybe something to do with the doctor that check my ear recently).

Anyway I also prefer the old behaviour of internet button).

You can create your own homepage html file to set as the homepage (so the browser doesn't go to the internet when you press the browser button:

you create a html file that you want to appear as your homepage instead of your provider's website. you then save that file (let's call it for example file.html) in "other" in internal memory and on the phone you create a bookmark to file:///usb/other/file.html. If you send the file via bluetooth it get's saved in "saved_pages" on memorystick so in that case us file:///card/webpage/saved_pages/file.html. Open the bookmark, then set it as the homepage in the internet profile.

(won't work on some brandeds)

Hi All,

Not sure if this was caused by f/w update but my phone is missing its text-to-number switching feature in SMS typing/writing message screen. Usually you can switch over from text to number by pressing hex (#) key for several seconds, but after upgrading to R1KG001 this feature is missing...

Any thoughts?

Cheers.

Go to Setting-General-Language-Writing Language-tick the number option. Good luck.

Hi everyone,

I noticed that for almost every fw update, there is a change to the "text engine" version (e.g. BJ, BT, CB, etc.). Would appreciate it if someone will confirm what "text engine" is, and how it affects the phone's functions. Is this the T9 and/or multitap software? Thanks in advance.

It's more to correct typo and rephrase commands here and there just to make the text more efficient I think.

Sure. Just press 2 and 5 simultaneously on Wotan.
