cor blimey, 275 pages! i remember someone betting against new firmwares before 200 pages!

i sent my 3-uk k850 (rca029) for repair monday, nothing yet...
i sent it and got it only last week, the launcher, applications and games all stopped working ('operation failed') same thing happened 2 days after i got it back from 'repair'

i wanted to swear and cuss them, but it was a woman on the other end so i was calm, patient and nice.

anyone else had this problem?

Anyway i think Mark was right.A little speed improvment, touch vibra and 3g option is everything? For me only the touch vibra is new function,3g coverage is low in my region so for what i need 3g Force, and the speed boost is ,like i read in posts, only noticeable when upgrading from 037.

Locking to 3G and vibration on the touch buttons are the only thing they introduced in the months since 038 was released. I'm supposed to be impressed?

I'm confused. You got a revision of firmware that had many improvements, which we've had to wait for with our generic versions, and you're moaning? Did you expect even more speed? The processor is only so fast you know, so most improvements are coming from code optimisation - and that's why the Java benchmark data isn't a lot different.

This firmware now has some extra features, which SE had no reason to add, and you're saying sarcastically that you should be impressed?

There are other changes and I'm sure I'll spot more in due course, but I can't tell if you got them with 038. SE only needs to issue bug fixes and optimise code, not add new features. If they do, that's all well and good, but we can't expect them or whinge that a new feature isn't as good as having somehow increased video capture to VGA resolution at 30fps, supporting HSDPA at 7.2Mbps, or doubling the battery life.
