Hey do you know if it is possible to install(or flash - I don't know which one to choose) the Walkman 2.0 software(from W950i) on UIQ phone?I mean I can get Elena before Maria comes out and I am wondering if I can use it as Walkman before Maria hits the shelves.Sorry if its too stupid question.

originally there was this rumour:
M600 + WiFi (Lizzy)
M600 + Camera (no news)
M600 + WiFi + Camera (Elena)
W950 + WiFi
W950 + Camera
W950 + WiFi + Camera (Maria)
as far as i'm aware, maria and elena are set to be sister phones as the M600/W950 are atm. maria (from what we've heard) is supposed to have both a camera and WiFi. rounding up what i've heard about maria and elena:
Elena:
5MP camera
WiFi
M2 slot
UIQ 3.1 (with touch screen)
Similar external housing to the M600, but will likely be made of metal (not plastic) and will have some black/red thrown in there somewhere.
Likely to be cybershot branded
UMTS with 3G video calling, possibly HSDPA
Maria:
3.2MP camera (probably won't have autofocus)
WiFi
probably 8GB flash storage
UIQ 3.1 (with touch screen)
No info on the physical appearance, other than the fact that it will also share the same sort of general housing seen on the M600/W950
Likely to have walkman player version 3.0
UMTS with 3G video calling, possibly HSDPA
from what i've read, it sounds like elena will probably be released first, and both will be coming out towards the end of the year.
i'm hoping they both end up having the fantastic tri-band HSDPA sony ericsson has started using.
i'm still not sure what i prefer though, elena or maria. i guess my decision will depend very much on what M2 cards are out at the time, how good the camera is on elena (compared to maria), and what the music playback is like on elena (compared to maria).
i actually find elena/maria far more interesting than sophia. while the w880i has been considered by some analysts as SE's answer to the iphone, i think maria and elena will both be answers to the iphone. reaching the market in europe/asia/pacific well before the iphone, launching with better features, and giving users the option of awesome music, or awesome imaging.

Hey all. Been busy and computer troubles
Anyway, seeing as SE has joined with Sagem makes me think that some of the tech from this
recent announcement could be used in an upcoming phone.
It's basically a TV phone with a built in antenna for the tuning, something which I don't think anyone else has managed to do. I could imagine it turning up on an SE phone soon...
The new interface looks interesting though. It does look as though SE will adopt an interface setup like Nokia's S40, and a key layout like Samsung's. Should improve sales for their phones I guess; makes them look more user friendly.
That does make the 5MP phone that we saw earlier look more plausible as Sofia.
Still looking forward to the April 15 announcement. If the Sofia isn't announced by then, then I'll be wondering aboutwhat SE's marketing department is doing.
UPDATE:
SE will begin to adopt a Nokia style interface softkey setup and a Samsung navigation key setup.
A new
phone for the Japanese market. W52S; Widescreen display, 2MP camera, 1GB memory and more on first post.

Though I'm not quite sure about the Elena's 5Mpix camera and Maria's 3.2Mpix *No Autofocus* camera.I personally don't see any reason for SE to make a totally new 3.2MP camera WITHOUT Autofocus as they already have one with it - that of the K800i,which will probably be easier and cheaper to just throw it in Maria - and everyone's happy
About Elena's 5Mpix - not that I don't believe it , it just means that the proto photos of the Elena's housing(which show 3.2 Mpix Autofocus on the back) are not really Elena,but maybe the "cut" version without WiFi.So if that's the case,have we seen ANY proto photos of Elena?Maybe Elena is in the same housing,but maybe not.I mean if it is - no problem,but if it isn't - why SE guys won't post some leaked photos in order to see what we are thinking of it?Or maybe they already did so?Oooohhh guys it became more complicated than I thought it would be,give your opinions please!
