According to what I have known, the P800 currently is an Europe version, it is in demand to a lot of countries. An Example, if 8000 sets of P800 was distributed to 30 countries, meaning each country can only received approx 280sets. And in Singapore the three big giant network providers will take all the stocks when the it arrived. That will explain why now it is shortage of stocks. That is also the reason there a lot of parallel imported set came in to cater the shortage and demand of P800. SE will definitely won't commit the actual date or even approximately in case of things may crop up due to lots of reasons. Sorry that is what I heard is around April. If you are not in a hurry to get it, why don't you wait for the T610. It is smaller in size, refined in designing and also with an integrated digital camera. Just a suggestion.

think SE hav a problem with keeping up with demand for new phones....juz like that time when they launch the awesome T68....they did not expect it to do so well and demand greatly outstrip supply....maybe SE also do not want to keep stocks level high(stock holding costs) and and are unsure of the demand due to fierce competition, so they will adopt wait and see stance,
mayb they more conservative in terms of economics
tonyg> i guess got to see what type of features you want in the phone, if jasmine want a phone with PDA and extended memory capabilities, then P800 would be the undisputed choice....if size, weight and gaming matters, then T610 would be a fine choice.....

Well, guess that is something they have to improve on....but such
lessons are painful becos once users loss trust, they may NEVER
return to SE ....
I think...SE ...will have to rethink their strategy when bringing new phones and the specification and the delivery date and stocks...!!!
or else they will start losing the user groups to other phone maker...

I think now SE can see that their phone is really on demand and will produce more stocks for us ......

TonyG :- in that case, are they making an effort to do so ? and at the same time, will they make an announcement or press release of the problem faced so that the Keen users understand it's problem.
This is where support and information comes into help to show the professionalism SE has in handling their products and customer.
And maybe at the sametime, they can get orders now from keen buyers and attract them to some freebies... (to make them happy)....
