Final colours have been revealed over at Xperia Blog

Which means the 'grey' versions don't seem to be standard colours.

Can we be sure that the gunmetal grey versions are standard versions and not James Bond special editions? "Spectre" arrives next month, could these editions tie in with the movie launch?

That blue look gorgeous.. sadly only for Z5...

But I'll keep the colour judge for press images... and final judge for personal hands on...

I was hoping for purple but blue is nice as well.

i am still disappointed but not having xenon Flash. i will skip these phone untill i see a phone with Xenon.
not even single manufacturer thinking to include it.

Forget about xenon flashes, LEDs are cheaper and more versatile.

It looks solid. If the screen has been improved in anyway then that's good enough for me. 1080 on a sub 5" screen is overkill. If a nice, bright 1080 screen for watching media is that important to you then you need a larger phone. I have a tablet for that.

It's not an overkill. The difference is very big, you can see it after a few seconds. I don't need a larger phone because I have small hands. People are buying smaller devices not because they want dumbed down hardware but because they want something smaller. Sony was the only one offering compact flagship. Thing is - in some areas there's no progress from Z1 Compact and these days no progress means going backwards. First Z1 Compact has sharper display than Z5 Compact! That's not right.

4K for an 5.2" phone is overkill. QHD should be fine as i like the sharpness from S6 phones comparing 1080p.
i am so impressed with s6edge's performance camera and sound but the battery life is no where near to Z3.
so i wish z5 series to top the s6 phones in terms of camera.

No white Premium? Disappointments mounting today.

Let's see what this Chrome colour option is like.

@goldenface I think 'black' encompasses what has been referred to as gunmetal grey in here

I would go as far as 5.5" then.

Overkill is just another word for ultimate future proofing.
