Docomo version of XZ2 / XZ2p have less battery. Why's that?
Durga Malladi from Qualcomm says that 5G phones will show up this year. 🤔🤔🤔

Is this why Premium may not be global?
I remember I saw while ago a benchmark of a Sony device that seemed kinda fake.
Multicore was about 2000 more than XZ2.
Then an article on sumaho, write was wondering if a SD846 would exist.

Curious to see if we can set ISO 51200 like regular way or if there is a super low light mode like P20 Pro.
I still want to know how can P20p go 4s without OIS and no blur.
P20 has OIS in all cameras.

It's actually a competitive price and judging by the overall performance of the XZ2, I expect the XZ2P to be exceptional. I spoke to a guy about a few things recently. The XZ2P has had issues so that has caused the overall delay hence the lack of marketing because they didn't have a defined date for release. It is what it is. The guy said that due to this delay, it screws up the timetable therefore expect little in terms of marketing and a push with the IFA devices instead. Whatever they get from the XZ2P is great, even better at a high price but they don't expect great numbers.
The most interesting thing from the chat was about fanboys. They actually do some casual research from forum and website comments, no way near Samsung levels but they still check what is being said. They have a filter process, they don't look into your generic 'Xperia 2001 design in 2018' comments but they have in mind what people are expecting so they do consider bezel size etc. He said they filter out fanboy comments, the ones where people say 'S9 body, Xperia UI, One Plus price, triple camera like Huawei'. He says that it's impossible to meet such demands and guarantee that you'll get massive sales which is correct. They consider their identity too, sure certain aspects are copied between different manufacturers but they wouldn't make a 'S9 body, Xperia UI, One Plus price, triple camera like Huawei' because that wouldn't be Sony. The example that he gave was the iPod Touch vs. the current top end Walkman being more functional than pretty but it is exactly that which is valued by those who buy the Walkman. Furthermore, the iPod is an iPhone with no phone function while the Walkman is much more a music player than any Xperia.
Regarding the design, he made a very valid point that the internal layout is important for the performance regarding heat and that they are in a good place now with software optimisation whereby they can smoke any phone even with the same processor. Obviously that dictates the external looks and adds some 'fat' to the design. He mentioned that even the older flagships age very well and that unlike a lot of other manufacturers, you can keep a Xperia beyond 3/4 years and not whine about slowdown.
