@sponse

hahaha, where you can see that I've only used WiFi?!?
FYI Staminamod doesn't give me extra energy, I don't use it anymore. Have tested a lot. No difference, cause I know what to need turn off and on...

You talk about a Galaxy S? Damn this phone is over 3 years old. How you can compare it with the Z1. Shame on you.
My Mega with 6.3" screen reach about 8-9h display on, with only 3200mAh, this is impressive!!!

I'm sure even the Note III beat the Z1 easy. According to GSMarena. YES!!! Very clear!

It's a shame that Sony has so bad batteries. All other brands get better results with same battery size...
Z1 5" with 3000mAh vs N3 5,7" with 3200mAh -> Z1 should beat N3 so clearly, but no, it fail!!!
And I better don't start with the LG G2...

@moogoo

You are wrong, he has only 1% left, check page before.
Staminamod is just for noob people, who don't know how a phone works. I'm not a idiot who goes out from the house and let WiFi for example allday on...

@king-james - you should read better. i said myp910 had 56%. and if you are comparing to sponse, you had stamina mode on, and he DID NOT. that's a huge difference.

and don't post that GSMArena battery test crap here. it's not an accurate test by any means and has been proven so many times by actual users.

Hi guys,

I didn't use my phone for calling for about 10 days and today I used it again and my Z1's microphone didn't work! It was working the last time I had called someone so I figured it must be other person's phone. However, when another person called me, it also didn't work. I then went into the service menu and tested the microphone there and it didn't work also...

I was really frustated and already digged into my spare phone archive and was going to decide if I have to use my old K850i for calling or my Samsung clamshell when I decided to make a reboot. Luckily, it worked again after the reboot, both in service menu and in calls.

I hope it stays this way and it was only a one of a kind failure.

My question now is: Did anyone else have this before and it worked again after reboot or did it come back?

If this should happen again, I will be forced to send it in for warranty as this is clearly a warranty case and the phone was only bought in September!

P.S.: This was the first time that this happened with any of my phones in the last 12 years!

regarding the battery life!!!

its not that Sony has crap batteries...on the contrary....they have some of the best talk and standby times! perfect if you use your phone as a phone! the thing which actually drains the battery is their screens! They always perform poorly on web browsing and video battery life! That is why they don't get a great Endurance rating on GSMArena as it takes all that into account, it does not necessarily mimic how everyone would regularly use their phone!

Sony really need to improve on their screens especially in terms of efficiency, and I believe for that AMOLED is the best hence the advantage Samsung have there

I have just got myself a Z1... So far, so good... Infact I am loving it.

I have a question, though. It may seem stupid.

I know the phone is waterproof but, am I able to use this in the shower? For listening to music, etc.

Steam may be a different factor to actual water, I just don't want to ruin my phone by getting 'steam' in it. If that makes any sense?

I use mine in the shower all the time and have had no issues at all however sometimes the audio can go quiet or get muffled but this is normal and nothing to worry about I have used mine for music, calls, text and watching YouTube videos all while my phone is dripping wet.

@XperiaJunkie thanks very much for the reply! Just a weird feeling, dropping my phone in water and stuff.. Takes a while to get used to the fact you can actually do it! Ha ha!
