Guys, the link spek left to us..
Samples of the girl are : XZ2 Premium, P20 Pro , S9 and XZ
I thought pics of Premium would be much brighter.

Software still needs some work, but early results are very promising. S9 photo seems suspiciously bad with that purple tint, something my XZ is prone to.

My old xperia does that when I use auto.
But blueish , on the right side.
It does not happen on manual.

He says that it's impossible to meet such demands and guarantee that you'll get massive sales which is correct. They consider their identity too, sure certain aspects are copied between different manufacturers but they wouldn't make a 'S9 body, Xperia UI, One Plus price, triple camera like Huawei' because that wouldn't be Sony. The example that he gave was the iPod Touch vs. the current top end Walkman being more functional than pretty but it is exactly that which is valued by those who buy the Walkman. Furthermore, the iPod is an iPhone with no phone function while the Walkman is much more a music player than any Xperia.
Regarding the design, he made a very valid point that the internal layout is important for the performance regarding heat and that they are in a good place now with software optimisation whereby they can smoke any phone even with the same processor. Obviously that dictates the external looks and adds some 'fat' to the design. He mentioned that even the older flagships age very well and that unlike a lot of other manufacturers, you can keep a Xperia beyond 3/4 years and not whine about slowdown.
So there will be new devices for IFA?

This does seem like a transitional device - xz2premium - summer phone for Japan and very select few markets.
As someone said pages ago like a 'test device's home brewed .
I like the xz2 and premium but got the xa2 ultra and will wait for IFA.
Xa2u = I like the more easy use of headphone jack+separate charger,
6inch screen + 16:9 ratio [I got the Xiaomi redmi 5 plus which is 18:9 like the xz2 and there isn't anything wrong with that but in my opinion I prefer and think 16:9 better]
AND battery life is great too on xa2 ultra
Oh and the front led flash /auto focus too - more selfies
and still great back cam shooter.
Either way can't wait for ifa

But z ultra was premium. For its time it was a powerhouse.

Aside from multimedia it was a business phone actually.
It had all the accessories such as a power bank case with stylus and such. And boy it was so slim. Sexiest phone I have ever owned.
