I heard that the 'Xperia first in a mobile to have ...' device isto be announced very close to the Note 9 and there is talk that Samsung will be displaying their folding phone too, it seems like an important time. The Note 9 is shaping up to be similar to the Note 8 but the Galaxy 'X' could be a big thing. There is supposed to be a S9 update with dual camera at IFA, not sure for all markets but I think the dual camera needs to be available on all Sony flagships starting from IFA. Any Xperia anniversary phone needs to come out this year. I have heard very little about the 'XZ2 Pro' device, nobody has a clear idea of screen size or resolution nor the spec sheet. My feeling is that an XZ2S type flagship will show up at IFA.
Its definitely a dry period in terms of rumours, should pick up in September but that is ages away. Might be an idea to stay off this thread for a month then come back looking for a surprise. AT the same time, lots of time for development and adjustment of these prototype devices. I really hope future flagships come in metal rather than glass.

I don't know and I've not had any hints either, I just know there will be at least one feature that will be a first on mobile devices so that could be the 4K OLED, 5G, maybe a new camera feature among other things. Other things like folding screen are edging closer to a retail product, also transparent touchscreens have been developed for a while but who knows, see where your imagination takes you. I'd love a touchscreen Xperia Pureness, imagine taking photos on such a device!
