Yeah, Pixel Peepers does seem to have a bias towards Sony. It makes me question the authenticity of their comparisons.

I know, and I've watched them all. But you can tell from the language they use when talking about Sony that they heavily favor it.
When making comparisons like this it's important to have as little bias as possible. They show a bit of bias towards Sony, so it does introduce a bit of doubt when trying to trust their comparisons. I obviously can't prove that they're doing anything wrong, I'm just stating that's how some could view their videos.

He's not biased, he's as honest as a reviewer can be. It just pisses me off that adida (the true troll, liar, and troublemaker in rumours world) said that those are fake reviews. His XZ2 behaves the same as my XZ2 (great details and sharpness with natural colours, but sometimes has bad dynamic range and plenty of noise).

GSMArena did XZ2 x S9. In many situations XZ2 was better, other S9 was better.

Watching his Sony vs. other camera videos, there are several instances where when the the Sony has the better photo he'll state that the Sony phone "destroys the competition" or the other phones "crumbles into dust". But he doesn't use that sort of phrasing when it's another phone against another phone, or when the Sony phones are performing poorly in the comparison.
Just something like that struck me as being a bit off. Like I said, I'm not calling pixel peepers biased, but just the impression of being biased can be off-putting. I mean, stating that one picture is superior to the other and explaining why is perfect, that's exactly what needs to happen. Tossing in what might be considered "fanboyish" phrases like that just make me pause for a moment. I suppose some might say it's a fine line between trying to emphasize the difference and outright fawning over their preferred device.
For now, I still watch and enjoy pixel peepers videos, but I do it in the same way I enjoy Phone Battles videos. I never forget that Phone Battles used to be Xperia Fan, which just for that reason is enough to cause me to keep an eye out for any bias. I'll still watch and enjoy the content, but I'll try to make up my own mind based on the supplied evidence moreso than trust their analysis. I can only hope that they're being truthful in the evidence they're supplying.
