My first phone was the Motorola T2288. Bought it with an MTN line for 36k then
Someone around me is still using the phone. Talk of longevity!

My first phone was a gift, motorola T190 and it came with my MTN line, which am still using, as at then lines where falling, there was a ramadan bonanza and mtn lines were going for N6,000, while motorola T190 then was about N10,000, so i would have spent N16,000 then if i had bought them on my own.

@Aya: like I said, it was only meant to be a guide. There are no fixed account ID's for any service provider, however, CID's are numbered on a "first come first serve" basis. there4 if u receive OTA settings from MTN on a new fone, the required CID would most likely be between 1&3 thats what I meant.

I do not remember what I paid for my first smartphone now, but the device was the Ericsson R380s. It was the father of today's smartphones. I do remember that MTN had just introduced WAP over CSD then, but none of their customer care people could successfully configure the R380s for me! It was quite tricky setting it up!

@Ihe: Again, Chelsea is beaten.
My 1st smartphone? Sendo X. . . 25k. Compared to today's technology it is amazing to observe what we all were paying for those 'basic' phones 4 years back.

@Senisho! U are welcome. There's not much to brief since u already know how to post. To catch the flow of the current gist just go a page back & post a reply if u have something to contribute. We are currently discussing our first phone and how much we paid 4 it.
@all: Happy holidays! Any free calls promo on the networks for these 2 days?
